Sporting CP (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

ALL Fans want to win every game. It'd be weird if you didn't.

But some fans don't understand football is about 2 teams and you can lose
Maybe we are just in a bad run of form, Missing key players and struggling to win go hand in hand,

Also, you start to panic and feel even more pressure from the stands, In the game tonight you could see it after we kept missing you knew its was coming,

Really is this the end of that golden era ? I don't think it is, Pep has big questions to answer about the future and whether he will be at the club for the next rebuild or is he ready to leave and let somebody else have the money

But as the song goes

Que sera, sera
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Que sera, sera
What will be, will be

That defence tonight was championship standard at best, so if Dias and Stones are just being rested it was an abysmal decision by Pep, totally backfired. Felt for Simpson-Pusey as he didn't do too badly but was totally thrown in at the deep end against strong opposition. Struggling to see where the next win is coming from tbqh, Brighton, Spurs and Liverpool is as tough as it comes, so we need to try something different quickly. Just avoid social media for the next few days and everything will be ok

We need to take our medicine and suck it up.

We haven't got a right to win everything, quite simple really. We're in a bad patch and we need to get through it.

Thank fuck half of you didn't support us when we was really shite, you'd be lined up like lemmings on a cliff.

Roll on Brighton.

The "we was shite once so anything that happens in the future is ok" post. Bingo. What a load of shite, when we was shite it wasn't fun but it was expected. No pot to piss in, average players and so on. It isn't the 90s anymore mate, we are a juggernaut of a football club with the best manager and players in the game. Losing games happens, losing playing like a bunch of half arsed idiots shouldn't ever happen

Embrace the adversity. Most of us have seen it, lived through it and come out the other side better for the experience.
There’s a lot of our fanbase who will never relate to that and have known only good times.
Believe me, it makes you appreciate things much better when things go pear shaped after success.
We are going through it at the moment, on and off the field. The next few months are going to be seismic and it’s probably a good time to rally round and show a bit of support for a group who have made all our dreams come true in the last few years.

I have no doubts we will in the ground we're just getting it all off our chest here. If a few YouTubers and Johnny come lately glory hunters fuck off the cloud will have had a silver lining.

Nah don’t mind it actually, atleast someone has a bit of an ego about him and demand better.
That or there's something up - I genuinely hope he is alright mentally as he looked fed up / smacked arse face for a while now - pretty sad to see really. I don't think he thinks he's bigger than the club (but who knows?) just seems pretty much a very sad lad for whatever reason.
