I can’t believe how we turned an excellent first half performance into an absolute shit show of a second half. Just threw the game away with a mixture of arrogance and incompetence. You’ll not see many more amateur hour penalties all season than those two tonight. Ludicrous from Josko and Nunes.

Whilst we’ve been crucified by injuries that was still a good eleven out (JSP excepted as not really a fair environment for Pep to throw him into).

We need to get through this slump and injury crisis as painlessly as possible.

We could do with Pep having one of his reshuffles - the inverted RB is causing us a huge amount of problems for little reward.

Baffled by the lateness of the subs and the decision to give Kev 7 minutes. At least no new injuries on the face of it.
 
Proper shitshow tonight, and armed the red media with all sorts of ammo to use against us to boot.

Every single aspect of coverage from the commentators through pundits through media all the way down to red twats in the match thread, all wallowing in our present fortunes, with knives out, the negativity is heavy.

We are in a bad place and the players are spread too thin with injuries and relentless games, and it is showing.

Without all our first team choices available our tactics of the high line is exploited every time we lose the ball.

Teams just have to defend in numbers and break with pace against us, and we are making it easy for them atm.

Pep needs to prove he is the best again, to find a way to turn it around, and soon or we are winning nowt.

Lowest point since that 4-0 v everton in Peps first season imo.

We must look forward and not dwell in the now, its tempting to just go for the five timer and fck everything else off.

On the bright side, these three losses have been spread over three comps inc one we dont want anyway, and have not damaged the others beyond recall.

Time to dig deep, and keep our players away from the internationals for once like other clubs do.

We still love city but let's have it right.

Injuries or not the "way" the teams playing is tactically shit.

And before you say your a bigger blue, I could easily take being beat of the scum 10 nil as long as I could see our team trying.

Those who criticise to a lesser extent, it looks like they know the past and can accept a slum in performance.

It just seems that half the squad has suddenly got old, slow and injury prone at the same time

You have to question the foresight and forward planning to allow that to happen at a club with our resources
 
Credit to Sporting. They outplayed us 2nd half. What a shambolic collapse by City. Time to stop feeling sorry for ourselves, stop this negative talk about being tired, defend properly - we are way too open - stop giving the ball away and start taking our chances. We must do much, much better.

I think our owners have done okay from that investment - isn’t it 17 trophies now? This was just one game
 
When you sell the players we have Palmer, Lavia, Porro, Alvarez, Delap, Rodgers and buy well nobody, then suffer injuries like we have there is only going to be one end result. Sorry whoever did that needs to be held accountable, it’s smells of a lack of competency or complacency.
