Despite the injury situation, City can go anywhere with confidence and get a good result. Bournemouth was disappointing, tried to contain rather than being positive, need to be more positive and aggressive. The tackling was non-existent on Saturday.
If the team press, are strong and pass faster and more accurately this is winnable.
If we sit back hoping something will happen, well, …. Some players need to grasp the opportunity now…

This new format just doesn't seem right.

For example, we've been in the CL for 15 consecutive seasons,2 finals winning one, semi finals, quarter finals and the highest coefficients.

Villa have never qualified for the CL & finished 4th last season but some how have got a much easier group than City who have Inter, Juve,PSG & Sporting, three of which are away.

It doesn't seem to be based on merit, coefficients or random picks.

Surely some form of seeding at this stage would be more sensible ?
Juve aren’t a good side anymore, haven’t been for a good few years now.

With the injuries and ake and akanji not being fully fit, I'd leave them both out of this, we can deal with them not playing here, a loss makes no difference really anyway but not having them available for Brighton would be a disaster. Start both Wilson-esbrand and Simpson-pusey with gvardiol in between them then walker on the right if he's good.

Ortega
Walker
Simpson-pusey
Gvardiol
JWE
Kovacic
Lewis
Nunes
Foden
Bernardo
Haaland

Nunes and Lewis in midfield anchored by kovacic, get some energy in midfield, foden and bernardo drifting in from wide then we've got impact from doku and savinho and potentially kdb from the bench if any of them are good to play a part.

I know Pep loves to state hes only ever thinking about the next game ahead but Brighton has to be the priority.

Think it's obvious Pep checks twitter and other social media and checks out the shit that people are saying.

He came out swinging for the team, and individual players like Walker, in his press conference.
