I don't mind the netball team winning it tbh as it's actually a big achievement for them, football frankly doesn't need these tinpot awards so I don't see much need to include it really. A bit like the Olympics, it's the biggest event for petty much every sport, except football where it's just some joke thing no one really gives a shit about. Most sports need a big boost like this, football really doesn't.

Main award was pretty slim pickings as the two stand out candidates are both in sports where frankly the person who wins is only the tip of the iceberg, Hamilton is entirely reliant on having the best car, while Thomas is reliant on the team carrying him a long way. No particularly great candidates tbh

A F1 driver plays a huge part in developing the car the miles of testing they put in even with the analytics available nowadays the driver is still important for feed back to the engineers
