I'm sure they are, but the fact remains that the team is still the most important thing. Without the fastest, most reliable car, the drivers skill isn't enough. Like a jockey, I'm sure the best jockeys make a difference, but if the horse isn't good enough then you're stuffed.

Well, Guardiola had the best means of winning a title last season with the team and resources he had, but he still needed to be the best manager to break all the records he did.


You're absolutely right with regards to the importance of the team. But the role of the individual piloting the whole thing is equally important.
