Spunny Foonerisms

Long ago when I was ranting at the kids My 8 year old daughter told me I was being “ tempramenstrual”.

I told my GP who said he had many patients that word fitted perfectly.

When she was younger she used to say she was “bored out of her depth” and “deaf as a bat”.

I realise non of these are spoonerisms.

Just malapropisms.

A long time ago I worked with a bloke who`s Aunt was admitted to hospital in the emergency room.In those days they would shout out your surname, followed by your christian name.
The unfortunate name was called out ..... Hitchen ... Fanny !!!
A very true story as people knew the unfortunate lass and confirmed by my mother.
Sounds like a scene from one of the "Carry On" films ... Oooooohhhh Matron.
