Spurs (A) | EFL Cup | Post Match Thread

Thought we did well last 20 mins of each half and the kids who came on did well.

From the senior player perspective some were very average. Stones,Gundogan and Foden in particular and Ake looked very rusty.

Lewis is so naive at right back. He has to play midfield or not at all for me. He is too slow to get back and giving Werner a 5 yard head start is a foot race is just suicidal. Going forward I like him but defensively I don’t.

McAtee didn’t do much either for me. The clamour to get him in the side is misjudged in my opinion.

We kept going though and were unlucky not to get the equaliser.

The injury to Savinho is just a disaster though if serious. We look absolutely paper thin now squad wise.

Pep needs to explain the risks
He took tonight. Absolutely mental with the injury situation
Should have sent the EDS including the management I don’t see the point of Erling sat on the bench We didn’t want to win, and the kids would have loved it even if they got hammered if getting hammered affected them then thy shouldn’t be professionals this isnt being captain hindsight its bloody obvious Now we have more injuries on top of what we already have

Picking up a further 4 injuries and I would guess all four unavailable until after the international break at best its about as grim as it possibly gets on the injury front and with such a small squad its going to impact the results sooner rather than later.

In a match that meant little in the scheme of things its terrible to say the least.

10 first teamers unavailable for Bournemouth would cripple most sides including us.
