Spurs (A) | PL | Post-Match Thread

It's Pep, and has been for a while.

Sending out teams with no consistent plan, shorn of putting players in their natural positions.

We have one of the greatest strikers in the world and consistently fail to play close enough to him for him to receive the ball in front of goal.

That's on Pep. Kev is slowing down at a rate of knots but there is nobody else who is able to create.

We are struggling for identity and leaders.

Can't fault Grealish and Ake application today.

It's absolutely criminal we have failed to address the lack of creativity and pace in the team.
Well surely that’s on the recruitment team rather than pep then?

The matchday thread and this is akin to a boxers corner throwing the fucking towel in after 10 seconds and one punch!

Get a fucking grip ffs.

No divine right to win every game or every PL. This manager and squad has broken records, left, right and centre and will do so again over the next few years as he rebuilds.

Meanwhile we are 2nd in the fucking PL and still in the FA cup and CL.
I'm a fully paid up happy clapper, but the match thread was a mixture of frustration and hair pulling in a game where we simply weren't good enough. We created fuck all and looked like we might concede every time they attacked.

The way I always judge this: do you think Pep and the players will be happy with that? Do you think the conversations in the lockerroom will be calm and relaxed right now?

Pep doesn’t know how to play with a big lad up front. But hands up who recons he’ll work it out. We’ve got to give him time. He’s got a seasons grace backed up in my book

That pissed me off more than an of the other result this season. From the baffling lack of Dias and Laporte, to the ludicrous decision to bench our best player. From the far too much responsibility too soon on Lewis to yet another shit the bed moment that leads to a goal. From our inability to feed Haaland to another abject final third performance.
6 points against the Arse is now a must, anything less and the league is theirs, and they arent even very good. One thing they do have though is consistency in their starting 11, which includes their best players, something thats a distant memory for us at the moment.
I agree with everything you said but there’s no way we’re catching Arsenal playing like that, so I don’t think we have to worry about it.

If we’d been playing Arsenal today at their place they would have put four of five past us.
