Spurs (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Completely disagree.

If comparing strength in depth across every position, I’m taking our GKs, defenders and attackers. I’d probably take their midfield, solely because current Rodri isn’t a patch on Rice.

The big difference between us is that Arsenal know their biggest weapon is their defence and set pieces. So they build their side around it.

Our biggest weapon is the big Norwegian freak of nature up front, yet we don’t play to his strengths.
I agree with you. The early through balls have completely dried up. As soon as the wingers get the ball they run to the box, stop and pass backwards. Even Semenyo is a different player than he was before joining us.

1st half wasn’t shite you clown.
Spurs were absolutely there for a hammering in that first half.

At 1 nil we was strolling about like it was 5 nil. The crowd were silent, their players were making mistakes all over the pitch. We let them off the hook.

Should have been 3 or 4 nil at HT with that abject display from them.

Remember the game we played against them when Aguero got a hat trick in 20 minutes or something and then went off injured? No doubt my memory is playing tricks there but the point is we absolutely took apart a shite team when they were there for the taking - the walking first half was just weird
Almost like we felt sorry for Spurs, their manager and their fans. Very, very weird from a team and manager that used to be ruthless and put 8 past Watford and 7 past Stoke and another past 6 Watford in a Cup Final to the point where we got accused of being disrespectful in parts of the media.

Haaland at corners. This drove me nuts, he stands on the goal line and gets wrestled to the ground, he never gets a pen, ever, can you recall one he has been awarded from a corner in his 3 plus years at City.? If so remind me cos I have forgotten. Ok, so we know it doesn’t work, repeat it doesn’t work. Ok, so how about he walks to the edge of the box and makes a run ? Any foul on a moving player becomes more obvious, edit Real Madrid away he got a pen when he did exactly that. So why the fuck is he bollocking about on the goal line every fucking corner? It’s fucking mental.

Why everyone trending on egg shells when talking about Haaland he's been absolutely shocking since the turn of the year. Not just his lack of goals but his all over game half hearted press and jogging around like he's playing in a vets team
He's had a poor month, that doesn't mean we fuck him off like some of forum are suggesting. He should be dropped, no argument but anyone wanting him sold after a 4 week spell off the boil after what he's achieved since he signed is a fucking belkend.

The back of the couch beckons. I can only foresee a thrashing. There’s no leadership on the pitch no leadership from the coaching staff. Dips are gradually finding some form and they’ll attack our tepid midfield and our young defenders.
Yeah but you've always been Lily livered.....been predicting us to finish outside the top 4 for years on end. Anyway, enjoy your Arsenal hard on.

I want somebody with an iron fist and takes no shit, Mancini return would be a great choice, But thats never going to happen, Kompany ? i dont think he's ready but the club and fans would welcome him home
If Pep does leave after the season, I'd be shocked if it's anyone but Maresca.

Thought we were very good in the first half. We didn't play at a quick pace, but we were measured and some of the patterns and passing triangles were beautiful.

Then the second half happened. Christ almighty. I do think changes are coming, most likely this summer; I can take another couple of lean seasons if the culmination is worth it.

At half time we had Spurs on their knees and their Manager facing the almost certain sack. What happened in the second half is criminal. I am absolutely not suggesting Pep has to go but someone in the City hierarchy needs to talk to him,

Yours stand out because of the sheer amount of them. Even when you try and post something with a minuscule of praise it comes with some kind of doom mongering afterwards.
I just want us to start playing some entertaining football again. I find it a very hard watch, have done this last couple of seasons. I think a managerial change could be for the better but in the summer. I know it's kneejerk wanting Pep sacked now as that's not going to happen, he's more than earned until the end of the season when he can get a proper send off.

Apologies for the name calling earlier
