Spurs (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

I think something is happening off the pitch, it's not a happy camp. Body language all round looks poor and something is definitely amiss with these performances at utd, Bodo and now Spurs where we could've lost by a lot more in each game, we deserved to lose today
It’s called transition Fordy. It was always going to happen and it’s happening now. It takes 2, 3 maybe 4 years. If we can win a cup or two in that time then that’s a superb effort and shows we are being sensibly ran, unlike many other top teams. It’s just how it is - and the players know it. Let’s see how many start around. Most people haven’t got the patience for it in this modern era. I’m far more inpatient than I’ve was before I got hooked to my mobile phone, just like everyone else of my era is. It must be a nightmare for the younger ones who know nothing else. Is going to take a long time, if ever to get to dominance again. And I don’t know if many of our fans have the patience for. We’ll see. On the game, there’s defo something missing with Pep nowerdays. We used to get better as the game went on because of him, now we sneaks seem to get worse. That’s the worrying thing for me

City's fanbase is now really soft and entitled. That's what bothers me more than anything else.

It was very disappointing not to win but 2-2 at Spurs is not a disaster. The game went against us and yes we should have done better but the Football Gods were also loaded against us.
Not today, certainly not after the second half anyway. They deserve plenty of stick. The issue on this forum is there are posters who moan like fuck regardless though, just so happens a stopped clock is right twice a day.

First half was good, should have buried them but 2-0 should have been enough with the quality we have. Second half spineless shite again. Sort it out city !!

Love Haaland dont get me wrong and not his fault we didnt win, far from it, but have said before, once went 2 nil up he wasnt really needed anymore.
Not sure what he offered second half, fed up of seeing him in a wrestling match on the goal line at every corner, what actually is our/his game plan.

1st half top, 2nd half an absolute disgrace.

The mentality is severely lacking. There is a complete lack of digging in and dragging ourselves through games.

Haaland has been wank for weeks. Then you see the **** smiling and laughing with their players. He either sorts himself out or he can fuck off elsewhere. For a blue his lack of desire is pathetic.

And I’m absolutely sick to death of Gonzalez. There are a lot of posters on here who simply do not understand the game and cannot assess a player who pipe up about him being a good player. Some lunatic the other day was saying he’s going to be world class.

Watch him for their 2nd goal. He has a ten yard start on Gallagher who beats him to the ball. Gonzalez is that shit he doesn’t even scan to see where Gallagher is. I wouldn’t have that from my U14s girls side. Proper basics.

He’s absolutely wank. We cannot keep pretending he isn’t. We need to fuck him off in the summer and get a proper CM in.

And I can’t even be arsed going on about Reijnders. Again. Beyond shit and should be nowhere near this club.
I really do not know what his role is. He offers absolutely nothing going forward and is not strong enough as a defensive mid-fielder. He's a bit like Phil at the moment.. offers nothing

100 Million percent Pep leaving in the summer
Dias nearly let it slip when he got injured ? He said we still have the project to fight for ???

This is the right time for the club to release the statement that Pep is to leave in the summer
it will bring everybody together and the players will have to show fight because the fans will want to send Pep on his way with silverware
Is this truth or wishful thinking.

Matey at one point in the first half i thought my stream had frozen. We were that slow

agree as it cant be any worse, surely some of those players arses will be twitching when pep leaves
new manager wont be as loyal as pep.

Only thing he did say we should shoot when we have the chance too!

We shoot plenty. Just off target. On-target shots at half-time: 3. On-target shots at full-time: 3. Off-target shots at full-time: 6.

By contrast, Spurs had one on-target shot at half-time. And six —yes, six — at full-time. This is Spurs we're talking about. They're fourteenth in the league for a reason.

One win in the last 6 matches.
Dropped 8 points from winning positions.
Arsenal ain't the bottlers, we are.
The truth of the last sentence hurts the most.

Poor recruitment over the last two years and poor mismanagement of people who have contributed little of note for a few seasons. Playing your favourites into the ground cos the squad players aren't ready or are a few levels below.

Each season we talk about going as far as we can in all competitions but repeatedly have one of the smallest squads, just nonsense. How many fa cup semis have we looked undercooked in?

Defence hasn't been great, though I do think Guehi and some of the walking wounded returning will help.

Attack looks very predictable and this game with their makeshift defence, we should have been putting them under siege. Instead the link up play in the middle is extremely poor. I'd think Cherki is a 10 rather than an attacking midfielder, Rodri appears to be well off the pace, Bernie's spirit is willing, his legs are not.

As the latest pigmob ****..........

A six point gap at the start of February you'd normally fancy our chances, but major issues not being addressed.

We need to try and get as many points as we can muster, and hope the Cups are kinder in luck, injuries and decisions.

I do. Very much. They're actually better to watch at present than the men.
But if your point is that this isn't the thread to be mentioning, still less celebrating, that, then you're absolutely right.
You care about the women’s team? Very much?
Each to their own I guess.

Apologies if it's been shown, but has anyone seen the line for their first goal? Still not convinced he was on and it seemed to be checked quickly
I turned the match off at the final whistle, I could take no more. Up until then, they hadn’t shown the VAR lines on the Sky channel. Funny that.

problem is the middle, we lose the ball and are slow to get behind the ball, we never win 50/50 and if im honest look like some jump out of tackles, midfield aren't creating or helping in defence, cant blame any of the defenders or gigi.
How many times did RAN, Nico O’Reilly, Bernardo and Cherki move forward with the ball from the midfield straight into traffic and lose possession
