VAR looks at clear and obvious errors by the ref or things they missed

So, they decide that Solanke kicking a player from behind making no contact with the ball didnt fall into the criteria

We dont know their reasoning which is wrong VAR took 5 minutes analyzing the Semenyo goal v Newcastle Id would guess they dismissed the Guehi OG in seconds as nothing to see here

IMHO The ref missed it and no criticism from me for that VAR made an error to not refer it to the referee What is clear is the vast majority of neutrals think in their view it was a foul. Im not talking about the clowns in the media who toe the party line I have no interest in what they think
I've heard a suggestion that they only checked the possible offside early in the move and weren't even aware of the foul as City didn't appear to complain about it. It explains things but doesn't really make sense as VAR often looks for any excuse to interfere.

Don’t panic. We are the team best placed to beat Arsenal to the title, we are into the knockout stages of the Champions League, we are in the semi finals of the Carabao Cup and have a two goal advantage in the second leg, and a home game against Salford City in the next round of the FACup.

In the 1990s we needed extra time and Dickov to get out of the third tier.

Gets some balls.
Spot on.

Are we playing to instructions in the second half’s because so many games recently have gone the same way….even ones we have won.

Is pep asking the team to conserve energy same as about three seasons ago when we just kept possession in the second half if we were in the lead.

It’s obviously not working if this is planned and obviously the team is inferior to three years ago.

Still think the main problem is the midfield and the lack of protection they give the back four.

They are too slow getting forward to support the attack and too slow in getting behind the ball.
The team of three years ago was a side almost entirely of prime age players at their peak. The side for the Spurs game were largely early twenties players with an average age of 24/25 - very young for a side still in contention for everything. I'd say that seven or eight of the starting eleven for the Spurs game are years from their peak, and I'd include Erling and Donna in that. No pundits ever mention that. In fact, year in year out, we keep hearing that Arsenal are a 'young side'. Eh'? Doesn't that Arsenal side actually age? Their first eleven is way more experienced than ours.

Pep demands excellence from his players and with experience that will come with the addition of one or two at the end of the season as some leave.

Im

I'm not sure even if it's wasn't Pep we would be asking to sack a manager who has us second in the league and still in every cup competition in Feb. Do you really think we would or are you just talking bollocks to be controversial??
I think its moe cos pep is half looking for it.. he's bored and seems a bit petty and agitated

Just seen the highlights..Haaland was outstanding, brilliant link up play, held the ball up so well & that in the 78th minute just wow. Despite being fouled he gets a reverse pass away to Semenyo right across the pitch. Wonderful set up for Reijnders just after. People saying he does nothing are on another planet. Bernardo also outstanding. Play like that for the rest of the season and it'll be another tin of duraglit on order. The finishing needs to improve a bit but that will come. A shout out to Semenyos back flip celebration and shushing the crowd shows he hasnt lost his sense of humour even though he ended up on his aris.

Just like var you have the chance to re-referee the incident, take your time look at it for 5 or 6 minutes.
So,in your opinion what are you giving?
Foul or agreeing with the on-field decision of a goal
We are talking about his reaction not what I or anybody else thinks about the decision. For what its worth its a clear 50 50 to me, or to put it plainly the refs decision was not obviously wrong.

Showing city under a bad light cannot make much difference given the dark cloud we have been under for the last few years thanks to masters and co !
Just wish khaldoon would issue some kind of update to bring some light into the situation.
