Spurs (A) | Post-Match Thread

Biggest take away for me is that Rodri is the most important player in the squad now.

I knew Mendy wasn't good enough, I knew we didn't have a striker and Ferran would go missing, I knew Sterling would be poor after 3 days training and grealish wouldn't be great after 1 week at the club.

But the complete lack of defence on the transition is both new and frightening.

You cannot question Ferns desire or commitment but Spurs ran through our midfield like there was nothing there. He cannot cover the ground anymore. He was giving away stupid fouls because he knew he was out of the game if a pass got made or he was just late to the ball.

We arent going to buy a new defensive midfielder, so we need Rodri to be world class in the position if we are going to win anything this season.

Mendy should be gone already.

Cancelo, Ake, Torres all on their last chance.

No no no they are simply not good enough.

Mendy is so bad... I love Pep and what he's done for us but putting fucking Gabriel Jesus at left back would be a much better choice.

It's just like Pelligrini with Jesus Navas all over again. He should be nowhere near our bench nevermind the fucking starting 11.

Also on Sterling playing shit. Difference with England is he plays with a striker to occupy space. We don’t have that here you bring Kane in he goes back to his normal form

We got away with it last season, mainly because Liverpool's were decimated by injuries and Chelsea were a shit show for half a season. The rags have strengthened and are slowly improving.

got away with it? We absolutely dominated the league. Are you saying the only reason we won was because the other teams weren’t good enough.

its one game mate. It’s a long season
