Another quote from Poch's presser: "Espanyol are the real Catalans and Barcelona was founded in a different way". Sounds like Mou's cheap mind games.

It is at the stage where we can open up a gap and send out a message to the rest of the league that we have come unstuck the last couple of seasons. If we got three points here I agree it would be huge, here's hoping!

I feel we are due a bad result. Just hope we draw and don't lose. Not very hopeful of a win, especially without De Bruyne

I'd even set up for a draw

Bravo

Sagna
Otamendi
Stones
Clichy

Fernandinho
Fernando
Gundogan

Sterling
Aguero
Silva
I would go with team also. Gundogan needs games the sooner the better. This will be easier than Wednesday night. Celtic just never get beat in the group stages of the Champion's league. Well 3 times Barca twice and AC Milan once. Utd Drew and got beat there.
I predict a score and win on Sunday with another fantastic performance from both teams.

He was the manager there and beat Barca at Camp Nou for the first time in 27 years.
For him and the Espanol fans It would be like us with the scum.
Fair play to him for saying that IMHO.

That's rubbish. Espanyol, Catalan for "Spanish" are generally supported by people who what to be outside the mainstream of Catalan society.
They do have Catalan support, but folks with Spanish ancestry who live in Barcelona do tend to follow them.

Did he dare to say that in Spain? Now it sounds completely out of context. That win was 7 yrs ago after all, Pep has spanked his Espanyol side several times since then.

I had a look on the spuds forums and in general, they're confident of getting the 3 points.
A couple of them even had the cheek to ask for a fair minded ref!!!!

Their top scorer is out. Some of you wipe your fanny's I'm confident of spanking the spuds this time, Aguero show.

Jermaine Jenas is also tipping Spurs to best City, seeing City draw at Celtic must've had him rubbing his hands together with glee.
Spurs having a manager who isn't new to the Prem, even though he's surprised at how Pep's laid down his own mark, have 100% record, won the Derby at Utd ( his reasoning being because Maureen didn't know his best side... !) he still thinks Spurs will win, even though City have scored the most, have a much better conversion rate...
There's no denying it will be a tough game, but no-one analyses a game more than Pep, he will address our defensive issues, the high pressing from opposition too, he will not go blindly into the game like Pellgrini seemed to do last season.

Reading the press it seems Spurs have already beaten us. Unbelievably biased coverage yet again.

This game is the acid test for our flaky defence, after the Celtic game Pep now knows where our weaknesses lie.

Spurs tend to tire after the initial onslaught but somehow manage to finish the last ten minutes strongly, keep them quiet early on and we have a chance.

Really Flaky defence?!

I don't think Pep has ever said that "His" or anybody else's system is perfect. In fact if you listen carefully to the man he talks incessantly about refinement and improvement. Of course when players are expending a lot of energy there comes a point when fatigue enters the equation and this has to be factored in. What would you suggest as a better alternative have the players jog around for 90 minutes like last season watching the scores pile up? Contrary to what you think I believe Pep is acutely aware that he is on a steep learning curve at present and does not underestimate the task he is faced with. Yes we may lose on Sunday but I doubt if it will be the same scoreline as last seasons fixture.
It just sometimes seems like he'd try and refine his ideas forever rather than accept any flaws in them.
For example he has said that his idea of winning the ball back as quickly as possible and creating as many opportunities as possible will NEVER change. Well what if maintaining a solid defensive line for a bit longer and winning the ball back later would be safer than attempting to win it back so quickly and failing, leaving spaces behind because players are not in position after closing down so quickly. I just want him to be a bit more open and flexible to different ideas and not just his one script with small tweaks.

What absolute bollocks, the players couldn't wait to pass the ball and hav a rest against Celtic in the second half, that'll be why in the last half hour Celtic struggled to get out their own half or out of their 18yd box last 15 mins.
You say Pep saw no reason why we couldn't go from win to win,hav I missed something or hav we not won all our league games so far.
If anything you could make a better case for him overestimating the league not underestimating it.
Pep was also spot on about Swansea as the only thing that stopped it being a rout was our wastefulness in good positions.
To finish off you talk about him thinking his system is perfect.
For one he has many systems and I'm sure he doesn't think any of them are perfect but by fuck with fans like you he's up against it.
Celtic tired too of course and wanted to protect their point but that doesn't mean we were still full of energy. The reason they were allowed to get back into their own defensive zone was because our passing slowed down.

Yes we've won every game so far but that's not going to continue all season and I think it's an error to see it as being as simple to do here as it was elsewhere for him. I'd love to be wrong of course, but I think the signs have started to show.
Swansea had far too many chances against us than we should be giving teams and a better side would punish us.
He has some adaptations to his system but some elements he maintains in them all.
