You can’t always expect City to have to be 20 or 30% better than another team in every game to win them.

Many teams manage to play at 1% more and get wins.

So yes, if we play out of our skin and score five then it’s harder for the ref to influence the game. But this is football and real life and sometimes that means we’d win by a single goal with correct decisions.

Exactly. That's what I have been trying to say but you put it more succinctly.

1981 payback
please lets beat spurs at wembley and cleanse by memory that hurt in them 2 cup finals and was the start of the long and winding road of yoyo the leagues for nearly 30 years and the fans took so much shit over them years that even today the mental scars are still visible on many city faces

after watching the pep interview for the spurs game it did not help he said we have to look at the players and maybe we after use some of kids ??? maybe a tactic by pep to bluff the spurs management but aguero is out jesus is not 100% kompany kid gloves stones is a puzzle sterling in and out silva could be missing and KDB looking like he is running on empty so lets hope its a bluff and pep can filed a strong team

The decisions over the last 3 games and throughout the course of the season are not excuses. They are reasons and very good ones at that.

When it has a direct influence on the outcome of a football match I'm really not sure why anyone would argue the contrary.

That we have been so fucking good has made said decisions irrelevant but when we fall below such standards then it has a huge impact.

We cannot be expected to play at 30% above whoever we play just to cover up shocking refereeing decisions.

That is unfair and gross negligence from an officiating perspective.

With Attwell one of the line officials, & that fat twunt Jon Moss in the middle, a don’t expect anything different today, either, tbh.

However, recent events, dictate that if we do get done over today, I’ll console myself with the fact that, despite 81, I’d much rather see spurs finish second than either “the victims” or the rags

Wondering why this match is being played at 745 local time?? I have no problem with it, i just cant remember seeing a PL match being played at this time on Saturday/Sunday.

Another L would be hard to swallow. I would prefer to win the title by winning a match at home, not by West Brom beating United. Although a Vardy party/Hazard goal moment with all the players celebrating together off field would be fun to watch.

Prediction for today 1-1

Answered this a couple of pages back.

This will be a new regular KO time in the new PL package and Sky plan to put big games there. So this is a trial run.

They had to show City because had we drawn the derby last week we could have won the title tonight. And they would want to show that match.

Still could be the game if United lose either of the next two or draw them both (the second is on BT Wednesday not Sky)

BT already had a teatime game. And Sky a lunchtime one.

Spurs play Tuesday night at Brighton (game they should have played next weekend). So could not play tomorrow.

We could not play Friday as we played CL midweek.

So this was really the only slot.

New territory for Pep, a string of losses, and another big game against a quality team.
Time to get back and track, and put in a solid performance in all departments, and hopefully Sterling can put the ball in the net like he was doing earlier on in the season!

Ederson
Walker Otamendi Laporte Delph
Fernandinho
De Bruyne Silva
Sterling Jesus Sane
