Of course we can use them as excuses because they shouldn't happen with that kind of frequency (especially against Spurs). Other teams can have an off day and still win by the odd goal (look at the rags for example) but when a team has incorrect decisions go against it in these tight games, then it makes a huge difference.
I would love us to play beautiful football every game and win comfortably so it takes the ref out of the equation. Players are tired and not quite functioning at their optimum level and so it is unlikely we can overcome the ref away at places like Liverpool and Spurs.
Having said that, we're better than them and if we play at our best, I expect us to beat them. If we don't, I hope it's because Spurs have played well and deserved it, not because they have been given a helping hand.
so you agree we aren't playing as well in the last few games.....that is why we lost....sterling finished his 3 chances vs utd....game over before the ref makes a bad call
we defend simple high balls into the box, pogba doesn't get his goal and neither does smalling.
we have been nowhere near the level required especially in the game at anfield and rightly lost.
referee errors will continue to happen, its part of the game for at least another season (no VAR in the prem league next year)......ref mistakes happen in every game and every team can point to decisions like those that you are mentioning.
Spur i think will beat us because we aren't playing at a good well enough, we have kept personnel missing (Kun and Ferna) and we look out on our legs.
