Dom, agree with the sentiment but you've got the wrong Jack. It was Jack Pitt-Brooke not Jack Gaughan.

His attitude was really surprising - so out of the loop with current state of play.
Yet he then talks about his experience at the City v Spurs CL tie and his "grief" at the outcome. A genuine emotional reaction as a City fan.
He’s their Spurs correspondent isn’t he? (Despite growing up a blue)

reckon this will be a draw. Moaninho will shit his pants and park the bus as per. We are a bit hit and miss in front of goal just now...

Yep he is the Spurs correspondent for the Athletic.

First and foremost it's his job and when he switched from the Indy to the Athletic I suspect he could have had the City job if he wanted instead of Sam Lee because his boss and mate at the Indy was the new boss and the recruiter at the Athletic. He probably stayed in London because settled there and for his personal life. Also he does the England coverage and fills in for Sam Lee on the Athletic City podcast.

He's great when he talks about his old days watching City and his description on a pod about how David Silva is his favourite and the best player in PL history was the best I've heard. At least he doesn't hide his blue credentials like most journalists...

Jose has had a whinge again I've just read.
Moaning at Southgate and implying Sterling has been "rested" by England but he will play tomorrow.

Spurs were lucky in the game at their place last season. I am expecting a statement win from City tomorrow to wipe the grin off Mourhino's smug face. Wouldn't be surprised if we win by a margin of at least three goals.

Mate, can I just say I was a big fan of your writing back in the days of your Lonesome Days of Roy Carroll blogs you did whilst still at Oxford I think

I'm hoping this is the game we wake up, especially with Mourinho's bullshit comments about Sterling and Spurs in general. Fucking hate him and Spurs.

Be nice if our players goal scoring form from the internationals carries over and Foden to start after his performance mid week surely.

3-1 to us is my pick after the Pep news a couple of days ago.....I hope

After all we’ve seen in recent years I still can’t summon up your level of confidence when City are concerned.. I was 57 this week which may be the reason.. I (like many others) have seen some shit over the years and can’t shake off the past

Just to piss Maureen off
