As usual the media trying to make it all about Pep & Maureen , very tiresome , but today will be a good test for our defence, if we don't give away stupid penalties (surely Walker will be warned by Pep before this game) and keep a clean sheet I really fancy us to beat a rejuvenated Tottingham, but over 60 years has to be the longest rejuvenations of any football club. Would take a nice tidy 2-0 win just to show everyone we aren't going away, we then have a couple of winnable home games, and it will be business as usual.
 
Unless we step up our performances from recent ones, we wont get more than a draw......their midfield will run through and behind our static pairing, Son will have space to run at Walker and that is almost impossible to defend......

Any 2 0r 3 of Gundogan, Rodri and Mahrez starting will leave us exposed.

Hopefully Cancello can deputise at left back - not ideal but better option than any of the others if Ake is still out

Now Peps signed the contract hopefully we can move away from the Manciniesque winning by not conceding back to where our goal difference would finish top 4 if it were converted to points.

I am also a long-suffering fan (since 1967) but I just have a feeling about today. We have battered Spurs in the last few games but they have somehow fluked results. We should have won at their stadium by four or five last season. There was something in Pep's body language this week and I can smell revenge.

possibly....better going forward - defensively not so sure.....he played well vs Liverpool as Ric just pointed out so hopefully he will continue with that. He needs a consistent run of games there

Gundogan was dead on his feet for Germany this week as Spain tore them to pieces. I am one of his fans but it was one of the worst displays I have ever seen from him. By way of contrast Rodri ran the entire game from start to finish.

Hopefully Guardiola will have watched it and seen that he clearly needs a rest. Play Rodri today, and Gundogan on Wednesday.
 
Huge game, Spurs wont give us 3 points easily or at all...

We lost this fixture last season 2-0, despite having 68% possession and 19-3 shooting stat. Basically they made 3 shots scored 2, we made 19 shots (only 6 on target) and scored fuck all. Quit a usual happening from last season.

After throwing away extra 2 points vs Liverpool now we really need to get a big win away from home imo.

If we have a penalty today I hope whoever is taking it did practice them in last 2 weeks.
 
Just thinking about tonight’s game and remembering Sergio’s first half performance at WHL a few years ago. He absolutely terrorised them. Went off with a muscle tweak but must be one of the best 45 minutes ever.
