Ederson
Lewis - Khusanov - Dias - Ake
Nico G - Gundo
Savinho - Foden (McAtee) - Marmoush
Haaland

Gvardiol needs a rest, he looked knackered. The #10 is a dilemma, with his form recently Foden should be dropped, but Pep will probably play him anyway.

we realy need to get something in this,if results go against us tonight we could be 7th
Doesn't matter, until the end of the season.

In a head-to-head, like the title race (at least before last weekend) it's only natural to watch your competition, but in the race for CL places, there are so many teams involved - and playing each other, that worrying about league position on a daily basis would give me an ulcer!

-----------------------Ederson-----------------
Nunes----Khusanov------Dias-------Ake
----------------Nico G----------Kova------------
Doku----------------Marmoush---------Savinho
----------------------------Haaland-----------------

Nunes to provide width.. Vs Liverpool we had Khusanov doing it so we could have Lewis in middle offering 5 yard sideways passes.. shite.

Ake >> Gvardiol for defensive purposes.. Kulusevski always good vs us and Josko can't defend

Wingers on favoured foot for crossing.

Can see pep playing with the slowest players we have again against the high line of spurs since he is overthinking again.

Foden - KDB - Grealish
Marmoush.
Wouldn’t surprise me at all.
In the minority, but I'd quite like to see Jack again - he's shown he still has a killer pass in him.

This place has been a graveyard for us until last season, but if we set up with the right system I genuinely think we have a chance here

Id be picking Dias and Khusanov as my centre half pairing for every game for the rest of the season; let them gell and hopefully stay fit so we arent constantly changing the paring every week. Id be playing Grealish on the left to help us keep the ball and praying Haaland is fit to give us a presence and target up top.

How Id line us up with matching up with the opponent in mind

Ederson

Rico
Dias
Khusanov
Gvardiol

Gonzalez

Foden
Bernardo
Savinho
Grealish

Haaland (or Marmoush if Erling not fit)

With Tottenhams ridiculously high line we need pace up top. By pass midfielders again and get marmoush Savi doku into the space. Eddie could get another assist here. 2 change from dippers for me Kdb out silva in Lewis out nunes at right back (for width ala against Chelsea). Gvardiol
And nunes caused Chelsea massive problems with their high line.

we have to let Spurs come forward, we have to. I (think I) understand that we want to play the game far up the pitch but Marmoush, i hope Haaland, and Savinho/Doku look really great threats to a massive space in behind. Sit a little deeper than usual for the opening 20 and try a few balls over the top and see how Spurs cope. If it looks shit then fine, revert to type.

Pep has no interest in making any changes to win individual games. We saw Doku break forward a few times against Liverpool then remember he’s been coached into slowing down and passing it backwards. Pep’s reliance on “control” means we are far less likely to hit Spurs where they’re vulnerable.

The

Ederson could be handed a start against Plymouth, Lewis could be handed a start against Plymouth, Gvardiol could be handed a start against Plymouth, Dias could be handed a start against Plymouth.......need any more examples??
Stating the obvious ;) obviously no news to report.
You and your speculating!

Not true based on the evidence against Newcastle.

Spuds will press high and their defence will be on the half way line loads of space behind and their defence is shot with injury’s. No bones about it. We need Out balls to the speedy lads up top. Midfielders can mop up anything on 2nd balls (hopefully). Pass pass pass spurs will pick us off when we inevitably give it away and one shot one goal rears its ugly head.

I’d go
Eddy
Nunes
Khusanov
Ake
Gvardiol
Nico
Grealish
Bernardo
Savinho
Haaland
Marmoush

If Haaland isn’t fit I would play Marmoush central and McAtee behind.

Surely we need to go as close to the Newcastle team as possible. And play the same tactics. Just replace stones with Dias. Yes I know that team included Lewis and Gundo, but it worked and they had their best games of the season. With stones not stepping into midfield, maybe we go Kova for Gundo. We’ve got to use the Haaland/Marmoush partnership like we did in that game
