Probably not a million miles away this one. Maybe Ake in the middle with Wilson-Esbrand at LB.EDS playing the night before,
Nunes McAtee Foden Savio
Gundo O'Reilly
Ake Dias Stones Lewis
Ortega
at a guess.
Great point bud tbf, though imho all the other team’ role is ultimately to be in service of the first team.Maybe but they are 3rd playing 4th in the EFL trophy. they could use the win
we have enough senior and fringe to not screw over both imo, might see 1 or 2 on the bench without detriment to the EDS, doubt we see a hatful but could be wrong.Great point bud tbf, though imho all the other team’ role is ultimately to be in service of the first team.
Just hope that no one who started the Soton game has to start again here.we have enough senior and fringe to not screw over both imo, might see 1 or 2 on the bench without detriment to the EDS, doubt we see a hatful but could be wrong.
very hopeful.Just hope that no one who started the Soton game has to start again here.

Carson ?Carson, Esbrand, Hamilton, Mcatee, Nunes, O Reilly, . 2-2-1 formation. 6 players should do it against Spursy's all out attack. 6 behind the ball for 85 mins, then catch them on the break 90th min . O'reilly winner . Spurs trophy less again
I don't think he risks Josko at all. I see a kid at LB. I personally wouldn't even risk Erling tbh. Go F9 or give a debut to someone like Matty Warhurst. Been really impressed with him as well. This will be closer to the XI and not the youth team fantasies some are having.
Don't think JWE will start though as he has enough 1st team options in defence.
Think Ake will start left back, we have more depth at centre half to move players about.I don't think he risks Josko at all. I see a kid at LB. I personally wouldn't even risk Erling tbh. Go F9 or give a debut to someone like Matty Warhurst. Been really impressed with him as well.
Surely the whole point of the eds is for the players to be ready to play in the first team. You can imagine the conversation with an EDS players.
Pep "I would like you with the first team to play at Tottenham on wedensday in the league cup"
EDs player " What????? dont you realise we have Grimsby on tuesday. Its an important game. You can sod off.
Surely it doesnt make any difference. If they are needed for the first team then EDS players wont play tuesday.
Mcatee would be starting for a lot of sides in my opinion.mcatee was on the bench 10 times for sheff united last season for example. Kalvin Phillips another example hasnt done anything since leaving city.
We have Ruben, Stones and Manu but with Walker still out and Rico playing all the games, I don't know if I would risk some players. Manu and Stonesy are the "depth" at RB too right now.Think Ake will start left back, we have more depth at centre half to move players about.
Does 7 first team squad players injured not resonate with you.Cannot believe probaby the best team in the world and provably richest are in a position that we will probably have to play the kids because we have so many injuries we are struggling to put a fresh team out . Behind the scenes this is a cluster fuck and bad recruitment .
;)...
We'll see what happens and I'm sure Pep will let us know more during the press conference.
The more I think about it, I honestly would prefer to not risk Josko, Erling and Ruben at all lol. Let's see though.
