Pep has a habit of over thinking these big champions league games. Did it at Munich as well and pretty much admits to it in his book. So fingers crossed he has learnt his lesson and leaves Delph on the bench and plays the strongest team we have.

Big week ahead Spuds could put us out of the running of the two biggest competitions.

I'm missing this one, due to work. Just hope we can get it done. At least I won't be a nervous wreck,
every time they cross the halfway line.

He doesn’t need to overthink it,just treat it as a league match against a team who happen to be in the same league as us...

What a week coming up. Spurs on Wednesday and Spurs on Saturday. Only to wins otherwise PL gone and CL gone within 3 days. Pressure is on.

Pep needs to think carefully and not put up a starting line up where he has to correct his own mistakes soon after. Can see Tottenham going with 3 defenders like they started Liverpool away.

They will play on the break if they are clever they start both Son and Moura. Their pace can really cause problems for us.

Not sure they can fit both Eriksen, Alli in the line up I think they need two defensive guys in midifled like they had both Sissoko-Winks last game. Against Pool it was just Sissoko-Eriksen but they had 3 man defence. Now with Kane out mayybe they will go with a more mobile and quicker Moura-Alli-Son trio and Sissoko-Winks-Eriksen trio in middle. Especially as Walker/Mendy likes to join the midfield inside when have the ball. They need to avoid us being in 3 v 2 or 4 vs 3 in small spaces in the middle building up attacks.

Having Bernardo for this is great as he can come deep and be a natural there just as going out wide, when he comes inside Walker or KDB should push a bit outside and turn their players around a bit.

We just need not to miss big chances Kun form is a bit shit he hardly had any shot today. We just cant let our head drop even if they find a goal. Something happens with our players in CL games, agreed with Gundogan when he said we are a bit more excited in a wrong way. If we start with a big boo for the CL song thats imo will have a bad effect.
Alli and Winks might be missing

Can’t believe the confidence here.

Kane is out yes, but Spurs rested Son, Trippier, Rose and Alderweireld this weekend.

Lucas Moura scored a hat trick and will be full of belief.

If they score first it’s pretty much mission impossible like last year.

Another really tough game, we need to be at our best. I’m hoping De Bruyne makes the difference and Pep goes with Sane and Sterling on the wings.

I can't see Mendy starting mid-week after the Palace match, he'll probably be kept for the Saturday. He's only just back to the starting line-up, he'll need time.
Zinchy should be available; I think he'll play.

Not having Kane might even help them. We have never really struggled against Kane, we’re one of the few teams that deals well with him. But with them playing Son up top and Moura/Eriksen supporting him, they'll be very dangerous on the counter. Difficult to see them not scoring so we need 3 minimum. If Aguero can find some fitness between now and then we can do it, but it’s going to be extremely tough.

We watched the first game with Son playing all of it and Moura coming on.
Spurs were dead lucky to score and even without being ANYWHERE near our best,
Spurs looked devoid of any ideas how to attack us.

I expect this one to be harder than the league one and I want the league win more. 1:0 is very tricky score.

Spurs have the advantage. One Spurs goal and it will be extremely difficult. We need to win the Champions League more than the Premier League, although many on here think otherwise for whatever reason. Lets go for it from the start and get the atmosphere ramped up.

16 clean sheets and by far and away the fewest shots conceded of any team in the premier league but you can’t see Spurs not scoring against us? It’s that relentless glass half full attitude that I suspect we will never lose, and rightly so..........

Ederson

16 clean sheets in 33 games? So we concede more often than we don’t, yeah? ;) It’s quite normal to concede in football, and Spurs have the players to counter us. We just need Aguero to be fit. Like properly fit.
