I hear you and love the guy but he just doesn’t look sharp enough as of late. A bit too slow on the ball, taking an unnecessary extra touch at times.
We can’t really afford to gamble at the moment, if he can come in and do a sporadic job like Kompany, that would be great but he’s not in the ‘first 11’ for me currently and it may just be Father Time has caught up with him.
You can lose pace,But you,ll never lose Natural talent..

Don't think he expected to play as much this season, but with KDB injured, his workload increased.

I did read somewhere that the intention was that he wouldn't play anymore games this season than last, when his appearences were obviously reduced due to the premature birth of his son. So far this season he's made 38 appearences (26 in PL) compared to 40 (29 PL) in the whole of last season. He's probably made 5-10 more appearences so far this season than was intended.

Pep is fucking focused and well up for it.

We are gonna win .

Press are such twats, that Norwegian cnut, ffs. Fuck off.

Love his straight bat.

Hope i'm wrong but i can't see us winning both our games against the spuds.

Why? We're a much better team and are at home twice. We were still probably slightly the better team last week with a very strange line up. Full strength both games and we should beat them. The away goal is a big worry though for actually going through tomorrow.

I honestly believe thAt if the crowd is up for it tomorrow and we attack from the off they will shit it and drop so deep they will be in trouble
We need to take our chances from the off
If we do this it puts a marker down for rest of season

That's my team too, with the possible exception of Stones in for Vinny. Vinny likes the aerial duels, like we had against Palace, but Stones is quicker to deal with fast breaks which will be Spurs game plan.

I never thought I'd name a strongest City 11 without David Silva but I just have. His sharpness and directness aren't there at the moment, which I'm hoping is injury and not age.

I have vinny in as we need a leader on the pitch if he played the first leg we wouldnt have lost imo

PEP:
Zinchenko won't train today, maybe not fit tomorrow.
Rest is fit.

Pep is curious about fan's support, really curious.

"PEP: Sergio is fit. He needs competition, and needs a little time to get to his best condition. Tomorrow is not about physical condition. We want to get to semi-final, that is the challenge."

PEP to an Italian journo, what he expects from watching Juve vs Ajax:
"I will see Barcelona vs Man United."

I would be worried if the game on Saturday was in their new gaff. But either way they will not be looking forward to coming back up the road to play us again.
I think we are well capable of winning both games no Kane is a big plus ignore all the bluster that he isn't essential to them. My fear is that we will go out on away goals tm evening. Only 30% of teams losing 1-0 after away leg manage to make in through so it won't be easy.

Pep should realise the press are trying to wind him up. He should also take the time to understand the club and the fan base a little better.

Not much he could have done about the missed penalty but I take your point. I think the next time we might see Vinny is against the rags. Not likely he will play again this week after Sunday.

PEP I don't dream too much about things far away. I want to get to the semi-final. Whatever happens tomorrow, next season we will be there again in the draw in Monaco in August.

PEP I know how focused the players are. The desire to get to the semi-finals. Will it be enough? I don't know. I got to the final once with one shot on target, and once I had 33 shots on target and didn't. Football is that game.

PEP I think everyone is fit. I don't think @Azinchenko17 will train today, the other ones came back yesterday and are recovering well. @fernandinho trained yesterday. Low intensity but he trained

PEP @aguerosergiokun is fit. He needs competition, and needs a little time to get to his best condition. Tomorrow is not about physical condition. We want to get to semi-final, that is the challenge.

PEP If we don't win these games this week, we lose both titles. This season we had an incredible opponent in Liverpool. Usually 84, 85 points is enough to win the title. We both deserve it but only one can get it.

STONES I’m not sure yet (if I'm playing), no one knows. One goal and we go from there. That’s how we approach the game and it’s so close. It's a massive occasion and one we are looking forward to.

STONES It’s something we are all dreaming of and all want to achieve as a club, players and everyone at Manchester City. The prestige of a UCL (trophy) is something we’ve not got, but it’s something we’re fighting every day for.

STONES @VincentKompany made a good point before Palace where these sorts of moments as players bring out the best in us. We have got five games left in the league, everything to play for and we’ve got to keep believing and enjoying the pressure.

STONES Spurs have a strong squad. We can’t concentrate too much on who is playing. To say Harry and Dele might not be playing, we can’t concentrate on that, what we do best is focus on us.
