Sorry when the fuck did Macken play for England?

In 1997, one cap for the U20's, which was the whole point of the dig:

strength in depth do me a favour m8, u have a decent first 11, beyond that you struggle big time even the most ardent spurs fans knows that if you had strength in depth u wouldnt have persisted in playing a near cripple so consistently, u wouldnt have brought in a 42 year old keeper as your summer signing, your big summer signing looks to be a loan signing who we dont even want training with our team.

We have three international goalkeepers with Heurelho Gomes being the first choice and Carlo Cudicini and Brad Friedel as back-up.

Friedel simply replaced another international goalkeeper, Stipe Pletikosa, who we had on loan last season.

Well that's simply fantastic.

Just to let you know, not even the cockney spiv Bent 'Arry will be allowed to play more than one at a time.

I hope Gomes is your first choice keeper.

so, to reiterate.

Spurs fans, you are dickheads :-)

Funny really, I never had a problem with Spurs as such, I know we've got a bit of history what with the 81 FA Cup but when they got CL football after beating us dispite being gutted that we had missed out, I was somewhat pleased to see a new boy in the top four and honestly felt good luck to them. However there does seem to be a lot of bitterness from Spurs fans now that we have "taken their place" I think a lot of fans (not just Spurs) just like to jump on the anti City bandwagon.

Likewise, I've no axe to grind against Manchester City - except that you got my favourite player Rodney Marsh off QPR when I was dying for him to come to Spurs!

I think most Spurs fans recognise the fact that the hundreds of millions of pounds pumped into Manchester City recently have altered the playing field consideably in your favour, but I honestly don't think there's any bitterness involved.

Our club is run on sound business principles, whereas yours isn't.

It's as simple as that.

We were never really bought to act as a money making business though tbh. I get your point but we were purchased to help promote a global brand and spread the word that Abu Dhabi is great. Also so he can call up his other rich royal mates and other state leaders and shout "GET FOOKIN IN YA BASTARD".

The cash he is pumping in to the club and its periferals is setting us up for life as a top top team. If that means him having bragging rights over other similar states and emirates then brag away, i for one and damned thankful for it.
The guys who live near the area really deserve it also as it has always been derelict as far as i can remember and now it will provide jobs and generally be a pleasant area to go.

You flogging Crouchie to QPR then or what bud ?

No, it's not as simple as that. It's only as simple as that when you take stage one of a very long-term plan as the entire plan/principle. The scale of the plans we have for the academy are like no other ever seen. The scouting network we are putting into place, the partnership agreements we've established with clubs around the world renown for bringing through talent. The developments we have planned around the stadium totalling £1 billion in expenditure.

A lot of outsiders still haven't gotten it yet. FA Cup, third place in the league. You ain't seen nothing yet. This club will be a behemoth which will be powered for decades on self-sustaining revenue and the world's best academy. We're already competing and winning battles with Barcelona for the likes of Dennis Suarez. Imagine what an attraction we'll be when we have facilities and trophy cabinet to go with the money.

I think a few are finally waking up to the reality. The rest will soon follow.

Without even a hint of irony!

Also, this is inaccurate. Spurs isn't quite as well run as many seem to think (although, they aren't run badly by any means) and City business principles are are so sound its hard to see how they could be sounder.

I think what you were trying to say was that although you can't (or more likely can't bring your self to ) fault the way Spurs are being run, the bitterness towards City (which is quite natural, we're all only human) seeps out when you see posts like this;

You're generally an interesting and descent poster THFC6061, if the abusers get too much I suggest logging off for a while so as to avoid retaliating like you did here.
