Our club is run on sound business principles, whereas yours isn't.

It's as simple as that.
Explain how City aren't, in detail, or apologise for that remark.

Well for starters, the last set of financial figures available has City spending 106.4% of their total income on player's wages.

UEFA recommend a maximum spend of no more than 70% to be financially viable.

Any business, be it a football club or anything else, can't spend more than it's total income on wages and expect to be run on sound financial principles.

The season previous to that had City declaring a loss of £89.7 million - the highest figure in the Premier League that season.

Which is another set of sound business principles.

Your club is run like a lifestyle business. The people at the top put some money in, end of the year they take it back out. All the numbers add up, there's little in terms of risk, but nothing is being added to the value of the organisation.

The "City" method is based on risk & reward. A lot of money is injected into the business, so that in the short term the numbers don't make sense. That is the risk however, as the investors can easily cover the losses, the actual "risk" isn't that high. The reward comes with organisational growth, both in terms of direct revenue (CL football, sponsorship), and indirect revenue via expansion (The Etihad Campus, the 10 acre site, other key areas of land they have acquired around the stadium, alternative forms of branding). MCFC is currently creeping out of "risk" and into "reward".

I like you as a poster, you add a lot to the board, but please don't talk about business methods when you evidently don't have a clue.

Slight meltdown here also a small debate on them having a better midfield than us xD

"If your defending a 2-0 lead maybe. Silva plays in the hole so their midfielders are Yaya Toure, Gareth Barry, Milner, De Jong, AJ and whoever else. Id only take Yaya out of that lot"

The new "Harry Redknapp Transfer Dealing Module 2000" now on sale.
You too can pretend to be Droopy and dabble in the transfer market exactly as the great man does, randomly picking names out just hours before the deadline. Great fun for all your media family.

^^^ Nice. haha.

Like window shopping most of the transfer window until the discount starts, and then fight to the death for something premium like... like....rafael van der vaart.

We have three international goalkeepers with Heurelho Gomes being the first choice and Carlo Cudicini and Brad Friedel as back-up.

Friedel simply replaced another international goalkeeper, Stipe Pletikosa, who we had on loan last season.

3 International goalkeepers? Really?

Gomes has 6 caps for Brazil, the last of which he won nearly 5 years ago.

Friedel WAS an International keeper, until he retired 6 1/2 years ago, and is now in his 40's.

Cudicini has NEVER been given a full international cap, he made the squad, once, 9 years ago, but never played. In fact he only won 1 U21 cap.

Technically that's 2 International keepers, and then only very tenuously.

Saying our midfield is the same level as Newcastle's is as deluded as thinking our midfield is as good as yours. I wouldn't say it's lightyears behind either, the quality is there imo but it's more of a tactics/organisation/fitness/moaning about getting paid 60k a year to play a game thing preventing them from playing at their true ability
