Spurs (H) 2nd Leg - Post Match Thread

Some plonker just called Talk Sport saying time to get rid of Pep because “what has he done”.

We’re still in pole position to be one of a few clubs to win back to back prem titles and the first ever to win the domestic treble. I’m gutted now but if we get the treble and Ajax or Barca win CL I will be very satisfied.

Sterling deserved a hattrick though.. what a player he is now.. another season or two like this and he will be compared with one of the best in the planet..

The day Gundogan has a shot on target from outside the box will be the day I shit gold. Good performance other than that.

Horrible way to lose. Concerned about mentality for rest of season now. Saturday can't come any quicker.

And they wonder why we boo the UEFA tune!! The officials were absolutely rubbish especially the linesman on the CB side! He wouldn’t know an offside if his life depended on it! A handball goal let through by VAR!

I’m sorry but I’m totally gutted & the only positive I’ve got is the atmosphere was probably the best I’ve heard for a long, long, long time. Maybe Pep might realise now that we are the best fans in the world. Even the CB lower was a maelstrom of emotion. Even there we made so much noise. It was unbelievable. Thank you every single City fan. Thank you City players you were wonderful. You did us proud.

Fuck off you dick.

Your completely disproportionate and aggressive response to a measured and completely factually correct statement shows that you, in fact, are the dick.

I'm never going to deny that he's the best manager in the world and the best in our history. But pretending he's not absolutely shite at Champions League knockouts is dishonest and benefits nobody at all. I've never said I want him out. I'm simply pointing out that since he took over we've gone out to far inferior teams every year. And every time he made bad decisions that lead to our defeat.

Got to get to and get a result next game. That's all we can do now.

Was sure they'd give the llorente goal as handball, you can see his arm wobble after impact FFS!

Anyway, well done to the lads, should have won the tie but all we can do now is beat the jammy bastards at the weekend.

Watch UEFA dish out a ban now we're out.

Yeah I know what you’re saying but answer me this.

My dad is 74, recovering from having half his kidney removed two weeks ago (cancer), was too tired to stay up tonight and is going to watch it “as live” when he wakes up at 6am. The poor fucker is going to go through all of that, he’s going to celebrate the last minute winner and then he’s going to be so upset, as we all have been.

What the fuck should I do? It actually hurts my heart to imagine and know what he’s gonna go through. Wouldn’t wish it on anyone, let alone a poorly old guy. I’m half wanting to text him and tell him to call me before he watches it rather than let him go through all of that when he’s not well.

I’m sat here, two hours ahead of you lot with no clue what I should do. As I say, it’s pretty cruel either way.

I'd tip him off, mate.

Hope he recovers well :)

Checking the monitor you could tell the ref had no clue what to do. He even shrugged his shoulders when he finally awarded the goal and signalled the ball had come off the thigh. Utterly clueless. We will absolutely batter them on Saturday and at least I won’t have to put up with their gobshites in block 229 who spent most of their time filming themselves and the crowd.

I’m done - UEFamA have beaten me . not bothering anyone . Seat counters can fill their boots.

Said for a long time we have to play play a perfect game to have a chance . Virtually impossible. Money going on holiday instead from now on

Just an addition to my previous post.

A big kudos to aall of the fans that attended tonigh. If some of you are on here at the moment, you were absolutely mint. Pushed the team on right till the end. Great support
Wish I could of been there because not sure I’ve heard a constant atmosphere like that before.

I thought we played them off the park yet only really had six players operating at the top of their game. Had two or three others weighed in with more we should have been comfortably through.

Calmed down a little now, credit to everyone there tonight the atmosphere was superb. Sterling and KDB were brilliant but once again we can't defend in this competition. Need to 're group and go again on Saturday now. Don't want to talk about the VAR decisions but it just seems to take they joy out of the game. Every goal im looking at the ref not wanting to go too mental.
