Spurs (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

The fact that Rodri is so vital that one injury to him makes us fall apart is a joke.
We already saw it last season when he got suspended, Is Pep just incapable of finding a plan without him ? he's the best manager ever so I'd say he should.

the other issue is tactics. why come out all guns blazing AGAIN. make it a dull game, stick your midfielders deep and the full backs in line with the centre backs. tire out the opposition with dull possession and get into the second half without giving away easy counter attacks.

One team well coached, one team all over the place.
No surprise to us despite the media “shock”.
Spurs- can see they do actual coaching- 9 shots, 7 on target, 4 goals. We are far to easy to play and beat these days,

Us- pathetic in all aspects. Do we have a defensive coach, zero desire to put bodies on the line and all over the place. Midfield we all know about, it’s embarrassing now.
But my god, how shit are we up front.
23 shots with only 5 on target and half of those were pathetic attempts. Players not knowing the very basics of football and leaning back time and time again when blazing over.

Walker, Gundogan should not be in our team. Silva, Savinho and Lewis are squad players at best.
Stones, Ake, Akanji too injury prone and 2 need replacing.

We will be 11 points behind the Dippers when they give us a hiding next weekend. Forget the titles, its impossible with our squad, Top 4 is going to be a real battle this season and i would not be surprised if we missed out.

Squad has sadly been neglected with a lack of strengthening our 1st 11 over the last few years and awful transfer activity and its now showing. 1 striker is the entire squad and Zero goals or assists from our wingers and quite possibly one of the worst midfields in the PL sums up the awful mess our last few summers have left us in.

Next week could be a Rags level thumping there
Spot on

Ederson had a good game, he’s been one of the only positives in this abysmal run
Agree without Eddie has been one of the only ones in this run who hasn't really done anything wrong. Stopped us from being completely humiliated against Bournemouth. A game I thought we were even worse than today. The finishing today was as much a problem as the defending. If Haaland miss fires like he did today it's hard to see who is getting the goals at the moment. I'm hoping this is the rock bottom for the season, but I think next week will be sadly.

Nope. Exception that proves rule maybe . I mean compared to Savinho for eg chalk and cheese.
I generally agree. Part of our problem is that we’ve gone from having wingers that didn’t give the ball away to wingers that struggle to keep it, When you add them with Haaland and Foden, our midfield has to be built to shuttle in both directions, which it isn’t.
