We need 2 midfielders ready to go on Jan 1st. Maybe an experienced loan player and a someone we want in the summer, bring it forward and pay the premium.

Unfortunately 2 years of piss poor recruitment is coming back to bite us.

Same old story again today. Started really well, was really confident first 10 mins we looked at it. Concede with first attack, basic error and mentally we went.

I fear it gets worse before it gets better league wise but we just need to stop the rot on Tuesday one way or another.

I think the real issue is that we know until at lest January there is no more Pep can do - the players are not fit, or available to change it....especially the midfield.....

I see people saying get KDB fit and we will be ok...I disagree - he doesnt solve the problem

I agree he is one of the players we have to move on , ideally we could replace 2-3 each season and still be the one to chase but that is no longer the case now.

Pep and the players have stayed loyal in the main and achieved outcomes very few of us realistically would have thought was possible over 8 seasons but its come to an end now and the next breed of players who will keep us feared and at the top brought into the club.

What I noticed most of all today notwithstanding we have lost the ability to defend and our midfield was like a mad woman's breakfast on far too many occasions was that Spurs didn't hold back , they didn't fear us at all and quite frankly I don't think they are much more than a midtable outfit.

We don't press like we did when we were feared and far more solid at the back.

Today was the start of the next chapter of this club , the results and performances will be much worse this season than any under Pep and it is to be expected all things considered.

I think Doku and Savihno still have great potential.....

Gundo is finished and Bernardo is running himself into the ground every match...he just cant do it on his own but time is also catching up with him.
Grealish - never been a fan of his - think he is hugely overrated but he is clearly having fitness issues (or something else is going on) as he has barely played....He alone however changes nothing even when he is playing well...he is the ultimate system player but if the rest of the system aint working he fixes nothing.

I agree about Doku and Savinho but the likes of Palmer, Lavia, Porro, Harwood-Bellis, Rodgers and McAtee all had potential and failed to make it here.

I just think it’s a flaw in the system when we’re spending over £80 million on two players who are ‘potential’ and letting academy graduates of similar or better quality leave the club.

What Walker had done just now regarding coming out on front of the cameras is nothing more than "for show".

Disagree. He started 3 midget midfielders who don't win duels, can't win headers and lack the athleticism to track back. We have players who can do those aspects. He could start Reilly & Gundo or Nunes & Bernardo to find a mix of ball winner and passer.

The problem is if we drop him then we only have a young Rico Lewis to replace him, and after a semi decent start to the season Lewis has been played to death and is struggling badly

Just had a look at the last 3 games. We’ve had 58 shots to the oppositions 28. Somehow we’ve lost those 3 games 10-2 overall.

If we had scored 2 of those opening clear cut chances we win that game. Spurs would have given in. Its the same game after game. Nonetheless, coming back is what we used to do.
