Spurs (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

One of our worst performances ever period.

Gvardiol, Walker, Gundogan, Lewis, Bernardo. These are all players constantly playing out of necessity and ultimately having bad games or average ones because they have no other competition or rest available. Half fit CBs with a new pairing every few games. Injuries have finished us off at a really bad time. Today’s team sheet wasn’t even bad, but a 4-0 is sickening. There was no leadership on the pitch, our captain is too busy being a mess off the field and making mistakes playing too. We moved the ball like we’re going through the motions.

Big wake up call for Pep. His stubbornness for a small squad and persistence in keeping the same system with small tweaks is going to hurt us if he keeps this up. We do not have the profiles to try out the tweaks he tried today. We do not have the legs in midfield to be attempting suicide ball like we did today. It was like Ange was our manager and Pep was theirs.

The defence being lacklustre or the midfield getting overrun is just part of the problem, but how bad has our finishing been? My word.

Hardly any positives from the game. Maybe that we did create chances before going into shock conceding those goals, or that Kev looked bright after coming on, and there are no further injuries. That is it.

At this point fuck a title race or any other competition, it is about getting back to winning ways and finding some stability. But looking at our upcoming fixtures there’s less optimism than ever before.

It is fine not winning the league or any other cup because it’s not something you can manage every year. 4 in a row was crazy enough. But we cannot get too comfortable to let the standards drop too low. To the point where top 4 scrap is a dangerous possibility. This is a venting space for me maybe, but tonight hurt. That is all. Hopefully we fix this soon.

Spurs were 6/1 to win today, madness.

Liverpool are 6/4 for next weekend, again utter madness. These bookies don’t have a clue.

This team is absolute muck just now - attitude, work rate, mentality, players well past their sell by date. Huge January ahead of us to try plug some gaps and salvage what’s looking like a sorry season.
sssssssssshhhhhh, don't tell the bookies. Keep making the dosh.

No shame in losing matey

City fans will go again in midweek and fully get behind the team, that's football and why we love football
I don't like reading negative posts hence my reluctance to log in. As wife said "There is worse things in life than losing a football match". I have never seen her weed a flower garden so quickly - the weeds were flying everywhere except into her bag whilst the flowers cowered in trepidation.
