Spurs (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

You assess wherever you are up to. We have lost 5 on the spin and the games we won prior we scraped by in. Going back over old seasons doesn't mean a thing at this moment. Are you intentionally thick?
Did you just figure that out? That poster has been as thick as bricks for a while now. Don’t think it’s intentional though.

One of our worst performances ever period.

Gvardiol, Walker, Gundogan, Lewis, Bernardo. These are all players constantly playing out of necessity and ultimately having bad games or average ones because they have no other competition or rest available. Half fit CBs with a new pairing every few games. Injuries have finished us off at a really bad time. Today’s team sheet wasn’t even bad, but a 4-0 is sickening. There was no leadership on the pitch, our captain is too busy being a mess off the field and making mistakes playing too. We moved the ball like we’re going through the motions.

Big wake up call for Pep. His stubbornness for a small squad and persistence in keeping the same system with small tweaks is going to hurt us if he keeps this up. We do not have the profiles to try out the tweaks he tried today. We do not have the legs in midfield to be attempting suicide ball like we did today. It was like Ange was our manager and Pep was theirs.

The defence being lacklustre or the midfield getting overrun is just part of the problem, but how bad has our finishing been? My word.

Hardly any positives from the game. Maybe that we did create chances before going into shock conceding those goals, or that Kev looked bright after coming on, and there are no further injuries. That is it.

At this point fuck a title race or any other competition, it is about getting back to winning ways and finding some stability. But looking at our upcoming fixtures there’s less optimism than ever before.

It is fine not winning the league or any other cup because it’s not something you can manage every year. 4 in a row was crazy enough. But we cannot get too comfortable to let the standards drop too low. To the point where top 4 scrap is a dangerous possibility. This is a venting space for me maybe, but tonight hurt. That is all. Hopefully we fix this soon.
Lewis,Bernardo,Gundogan and Walker need to be shipped out . Not good enough.

Tactically we are wide open, not compact as a team in the slightest.

Defensively we are dire, and that's from front to back. A non existent press, and what happened to getting the ball back almost immediately after losing it?

Other teams getting in behind the full backs with ease game after game.

No legs in midfield to track runners when we lose the ball. The defenders being outnumbered, or man for man time after time when we give the ball away.

I'm not sure how we fix this with the players we have in midfield, other than a change of tactics.

We've conceded 14 goals in the last 5 games, we can't carry on like this. The dippers will spank us if we are as wide open against them as we've been recently.

Yep. Poor recruitment caught up with us and players need replacing.

Credit to the fans who stayed. No booong even singing at the end. Credit to them.

We have had it so good. They need us now
I was really proud of our support tonight. Still full at 75 mins and three down. Obviously some people always leave at 85 to get home, win lose or draw. But us lot who stayed got right behind the team
