It's bad, especially as Haaland is our only goal threat who isn't a defender, but conceding this amount of goals is abysmal. Particularly as transitions are what keep Pep up at nightI’m more worried about the fact we can’t score for shit
8. Thinking Gundo on a free, who we were happy to let go a season before, and the untested Savinho was a good summer transfer window. Especially when we let Alvarez go.Some thoughts:
1. Injuries to our squad should not be discounted. We are seriously depleted, and it's going to effect our play.
2. Rodri is the best player in the world. See point number 1.
3. Haaland is amazing, but would do better in a system that allowed for a little more freedom of movement. It's hard for him when most of our offense is in the final third of the pitch. That sort of play does not go well with his skills.
4. What the hell is wrong with Phil? He's a shell of what he was last season. I hate to say it, but management might want to think about selling him while the pounds are there.
5. We need a centre back. Maybe 2.
6. Gundo is done. Love him, but he's done.
7. Savinho is quite good, and he almost has it, but doesn't yet.
I want to like Rico..I really do but he has to be the technically scuffiest footballer I have seen in a blue shirt the past 15 years.Totally lost in midfield.Fuck Walker off and slot him in there and play O'Reilly instead in midfield.
5-2 at home to Leicester in August during covid.Biggest home defeat for 22 yrs!
I’ll double whatever he offers you!How much you want for it?
The way Haaland played today I'm hoping he didn't.Please, someone tell me Haaland signed that new deal before today!
Partly but to be fair Kyle Walker is causing more major issues - he was culpable for 3 goals today because he hasn't got the intelligence to identify a potential problem. He's lost his pace and looking at their goals today he could have had prime Ferna and Rodri in there and they would have still scored as he left them so much space and time - he was abject today and it is a big problem when your skipper is this bad. He'll come out and talk about some inexperienced guys having to be schooled by the experience guys or some other bullshit. Pep needs to bin him now - thanks Kyle you were great but it's time for playing in the MLS or Saudi leagues.A big part of the problem is that the back 4 gets zero protection from the midfield. The defensive shape has been fucked up all season
