After missing Rodri, the team have relied too much on Kovacic. Kovacic has proved himself last season and played well this season. But there is a big problem in the team formation. Kovacic has been run into the ground to cover the problem and his own energy is decaying. Basically kovacic has been doing the job of both himself and Rodri this season. There is no help from Lewis, Gundo, Silva, for Foden. We need at least two decent player in the midfield to cover the defence and generate the attack. Rodri + Kova has no problem and they can play matches together without desperate runs. No both are not available and the team will have to see the “fitting in” players to take the responsibility. Many here said Kova is a mistake in the club’s transfer operation as he is not top notch. But in my opinion, Kova is a correct recruit and he is head and shoulder above the likes of Nunes, Gundo, and Silva in the midfield.
