Spurs (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Only an absolute loon would try to defend that performance. The worst City team I've seen for 20 years.

There were moments today that I missed the days of Javi Garcia and Jack Rodwell.
Jack Rodwell; that's the bloke. I knew there were two really crap buys since 2011 and could only think of Scott Sinclair. I suppose Javi Garcia could be a third. I'm giving Well-Fried Bony the benefit of the doubt as he had malaria.

And Spurs didn't play that well either. Not being used to that result is going to have a chastening effect on a few of our fans but we'll have to take it on the chin.
Spurs were excellent from taking the lead. Miles better

We were the better team for the opening spell. Looked bang up for it. Then typically didn't take our chances and fell apart. I thought Foden was back after that early glide past Bissouma. But he, like most of them, bottled pretty much any contact that came his way.

No one looks arsed.

Doesn't help that the captain is Walker who should do the honourable thing and bench himself. Legs are gone and he doesn't have anything else to his game. Gundo too, bench option but cannot start with his lack of mobility and physicality.

I wouldn't mind losing 4-0 if we were seeing O'Reilly or Wright or McAtee given a chance to develop. But what's the point in keeping faith in players who have shown they're over the hill now?

Tactically I agree with Pep, you don't abandon something that's served you so well. But we don't have the same core that brought that success.

Akanji has to play RB. And we need to somehow find some physicality in the middle...but as that doesn't look possible we should blood some youth. Give the seniors a kick up the arse if nothing else.

Partly but to be fair Kyle Walker is causing more major issues - he was culpable for 3 goals today because he hasn't got the intelligence to identify a potential problem. He's lost his pace and looking at their goals today he could have had prime Ferna and Rodri in there and they would have still scored as he left them so much space and time - he was abject today and it is a big problem when your skipper is this bad. He'll come out and talk about some inexperienced guys having to be schooled by the experience guys or some other bullshit. Pep needs to bin him now - thanks Kyle you were great but it's time for playing in the MLS or Saudi leagues.
The signs were there two seasons ago. And last season they were large illuminated matrix ones It’s absolutely criminal that we haven’t signed a replacement

Hey pal no need for that or from Chicago blue too.

Emotions are high, peeps are a bit pissed, retaliate by all means but come on we're better than that.

Not the end of the world is it.
They’re all out tonight. This forum clearly has a massive rag infiltration or people who just can’t help but post bollocks.

I’m going for the former.

We're toothless, lightweight and have no steel and when our outball is constantly passing to Walker, you can see how lacking we are

And something that really pissed me off was after the final whistle, Grealish wandering over to the east stand and happily waving like he's just put in a MOTM hat trick game winning performance

If getting your arse kicked by a mediocre spurs team doesn't hurt, then he should never wear a City shirt again

And we've been beaten by a mediocre Bournemouth/Brighton side.

We cannot be 100% all time. Yes, we expect to be better, but it's just not possible, there has to be a slump.

I was pissed off as anyone when on the 5th pint.......but the highs we've had, we've got to take the lows......and boy, we've been lower.

Let's just laugh and take the losses, we'll be back.
