VAR is ruining the game

Isn't this the truth.

Until VAR is computerised, it just allows officials to cheat with impunity. It is a joke.

It's pretty clear that every goal we score will be poured over with a fine tooth comb, looking for any reason to not allow it, while decision that go the other way will just be ignored, like the obvious penalty on Rodri. Zero way that penalty isn't given if it was pretty much any other team

What’s really struck me watching the first two weeks, and especially today, is that half our squad look like they aren’t close to full fitness yet. KDB and Sterling were both gassed for the last twenty or thirty minutes, Kun wasn't pressing in the second half, Bernardo was a little bit sluggish, Gundo looks like he's carrying an extra 10 pounds. I really wonder if not being able to train at more than half speed during our shambolic preseason tour cost us two points today.

We’re nowhere near full fitness. Which bodes well.

Just as I feared VAR is not being applied fairly but merely used to manipulate results.
The rugby tackle on Rodri is as clear evidence as you will ever get.
Unfortunately it will not be sufficient for us to be the best team anymore

One of the toughest draws I’ve watched, incredibly frustrating. Should have been a two, three goal victory. The decision not to use VAR on the Rodri situation is a joke as well. Season has only started and we look very good though.

Here is my take on VAR.

Football has always had a way of "equaling the score". If you didn't get a penalty in one minute, it leads to a goal the next. If you a screwed in one result, you are given a gift in another. Both Macro and Micro.

VAR has sucked this mystique from the game.

We need to bring back Dinho for the next 10 or so games until Rodri understands the PL better, no one really wants to say it but right now Rodri is very poor.

You and I and everyone here knows it should have been 3 goals, and that would have been enough.

Plus a penalty, so strong likelihood of being up more goals before late on, changing the match completely.

But, I do agree, part of this is on us for missing so many [very good] chances.

That said, with this current implementation of VAR, football is finished.
