Spurs (H) Post Match Thread

PL refs do not appear to use the "persistent foul play rule". I think Lamela committed at least 5.

They seemingly have little issue in issuing sanction against us, even if its the first offence.

Tierney was appalling yesterday which to be fair to him, isn't a one off, its every single game regardless of the officials.

The Sanchez face plant is just legendary.

What stuns me about the assist is not just the vision or the execution of the vision, it’s that Ederson only set himself with a one step run up. Like, how the fuck can he kick the ball further than any other pro I’ve seen, with such a preposterously short ‘run’ up. It’s outstanding, and I suspect I’ll never see such a goalkeeper again in my lifetime.

They only don’t use it against us. It’s the usual “City are so good it’s not fair on the opposition so I’ll let them get away with loads of hacks to level it out a bit”. Wankers.

This.

Its akin to the way they approach a cup game. Underdogs vs the giants of the game and well.....its the cup so what do they expect.......good old fashioned hard tackles and leaving a foot in here and there is fine and dandy.....

Maybe it is so long as that approach to officiating is consistent across all games and all competitions but it isn't.

I know 2 seasons ago we were the most fouled side & committed the least number of fouls. Yet we had the most yellow cards & had the least given against us. Strange that.

Another stat SKY don't give is that although Grealish is the most fouled player, he has also committed the most , yet has yet to serve a ban.

It’s been said a few times already, but Cancelo is having the games of his life lately. No wonder he’s keeping KW out. His movement and passing is like having an extra midfielder. I’m eating a huge slice of humble pie about Laporte. He slotted back in like he’s never been away. It must be lovely for Pep to have such confidence in 3 or 4 CB’s and be able to rotate them without disruption.
I would love to have seen Fernandinho leave one in on Lamella after what he did to Gabby, he’s a snidey, dirty little Cnut. That could have seriously injured Gabby, yet the ref or VAR did fcuk all.
