A weekend to forget. Hopefully back to business against Everton and dampen the red scousers enthusiasm a bit.
...Just the depth variesA good case for fielding a non-midget forward, who-ever that may be, or, ffs,
stop with the aerial crosses. The game followed previous mid-week euro cup games, a slightly sub-standard performance. At no stage were we outplayed, spuds exploited our false number two plan, the run-of-the-ball lottery was not kind to City. Both sides misplaced simple passes, we didn't cope well when they made the odd surge from midfield. All seemed a bit below par.
The way to get over it is to remember one of life's lessons. Shit happens.....
The debate was specifically about performance of a centre back. However… your response is illogical. If you have a corner or you play a through ball to your forward you are not defending. What I think you are clumsily trying to say is controlling the ball reduces the likelihood of being attacked which is clearly true That doesn’t mean you are better at physically defending when you are actually being attacked though.that's an absolutely insane way to analyze defending. If we have more possession, by definition we defend *better*, because,
and i know it'll shock you
being able to keep the ball IS defending.
in fact it's shocking that after 6 years of pep we still have to explain this
Tell me about itI took a day to cool off and I’m still steaming with that performance, I could spit nails. Always have to do things the hard way. 2+ goal difference, so expecting the worst on Wednesday with Leeds.
Spurs…. Really? Unbelievable…
Leeds losing after 2-2 really irritates me too.
One of the worst weekends results wise…
No faith in Leeds then, no, me neither ;-)Will be 3 points during the week.
Agree about De Bruyne….think when he plays, it’s to the detriment of Bernardo and sometimes Gundo who are moved from their best positions…great though he can be.I also continue to believe Dias is being made to look completely ordinary by playing on the right of the pairing because Laporte is starting ahead of Stones.
It makes so much difference on having build up out on both sides.
I regularly get hammered for it, but De Bruyne is more of a liability when we are parked on the edge of the opponents' 18 yard box.
Would like to see Gundo get a run in the false nine.
Ill be surprised if leeds keep them to only 5 goalsNo faith in Leeds then, no, me neither ;-)
