Spurs (H) - Post-Match Thread

Well what can you say..... ''Typical City'.
The absence of a striker horribly exposed by a true striker .(regardless of whether we should have signed him or someone else).
Terrible defending against pace and strength.
Pass, pass, pass etc etc before endlessly pumping an aimless ball over the head of a 5'6" target.
The most disappointing part is that its set in stone we are one dimensional ,it works or it fails...

Technically, it could be. Beat us and likely they'd be level on points and with a better GD. That means it's in their hands.
It's not though, is it? If we win all our remaining games we win the league, so it's not true.

We’re too good to not win it, call that arrogance whatever, we’ve had an off day. Wouldn’t be City if we did otherwise.

I agree but from pretty much being touted Champions at Christmas to dippers having it in their own hands is huge. Remember no one has ever not gone on to win it when in our position at Christmas.. imagine how the dippers players feel now.. proper smell blood. We have made it very, very difficult for ourselves.

There were some miraculous recoveries from what I thought might be life altering injuries today.

Incredible to see Kane rise up from a broken back to head home the winner.

That said, it was terrible to see us play into their hands and it does seem to be a recurring pattern whenever we play them.

No matter the manager, they have Kane drop deep and either make untracked runs or ping balls to Son who then either scores or assists.

All the simps saying they didnt want Kane. Well thats what having a goal scorer brings to your team. We dont have one, and yes, we score more goals than anyone, but games like that bite you on the arse big time without that striker

I don't think it's the correct use of the phrase. If they were level and had a game in hand that didn't include a game against City, then they could say that.

As it stands, the correct term would be "It's now in both teams hands". It's being a bit oversensitive to complain about that though IMO. It's hardly as bad as saying "Liverpool are joint top of the league" when they are behind on goal difference as they always seem to do.

Three goals conceded to that shite, barely anything created, doesn't bode well for when we play Liverpool.

You can lose any game but that was atrocious and our own fault.
But liverpool won't have eleven men behind the ball for 80 minutes of the game. Still in our hands.
