Probably because the purpose of the Great North Run is to raise money for charities whilst the purpose of a game of football is to get 3 points.

So we’ll raise funds for a charity on one hand yet take away livelihoods of some on the other. Makes perfect sense doesn’t it.

And I know different bodies decide these things but it just shows the actual lack of common sense around these days.

No one or at not not many l, are knocking the royalty for this decision, the PL are the ones getting all the flack.

Inchy mate I`m not knocking those posts, its the ones who are using this thread like the many others we have for the Queen to knock the Royals AGAIN.Lets keep it about why and wherefore that decision was taken and keep any issues individuals have about Royalty out of this thread.
