Who compensates them when games are cancelled in general?

Where’s my compensation when the trains cancelled and I can’t get to work?
All good questions. But this is for a nonsense, unnecessary reason, so they are even more applicable.

It’s not due to severe weather, or a global pandemic, or a terrorist threat, or labour action. Which is normally why a match would be postponed.

Operation London Bridge has always involved a period of mourning during which all sporting events would be cancelled. Unless Her Majesty had specifically requested something different then I suspect games wont go ahead.
We all know she was a blue so maybe the game will go ahead

Hope the games still on, wish Lizzy no ill but I want to watch City she's not my grandmother. People are welcome to sit and cry wank to the BBC news but lets not mandate the entire country to join in some ridiculous 12 day charade like were North Korea or something.

Lets just have a little singsong of God save the queen one last time before the match and fucking move on with things.

And you know what, decisions to cancel stuff will besmirch the Queen with petty arguments.

The Country can mourn but carry on with dignity, isn't that what we are famous for! No one more so than the Queen.

Think you have nailed it with that mate, much more eloquently put than me haha

I don’t want to be insensitive about the Queen’s passing as I know it’s a very big deal for the people in UK but I do wonder, how much the people in Britain are involved with the Royal family and why does it matter so much to them?

Is your job a game?

No, but it is an integral part of my weekend plans.

If we are going to be pedantic, yes football is a game. Also being pedantic, the queen was a lady born into outdated institutional wealth and privilege with absolutely no connection to myself or anyone I know.

My sympathies go out to her family, just as they would for anyone losing a mother or grandmother. But I wouldn't perpetuate the idea that we should halt all entertainment because someone else's grandma died.

If you want to mourn her, go right ahead - don't go to the football. But don't ruin everyone else's weekend.

I fear the game/games will be postponed. I’d rather they go ahead so clubs will be able to show respect as they show fit. WHU did it perfectly tonight, I would like to do something similar on Saturday.
