FWIW I think we should play tomorrow with all of the respectful silences / National Anthem / Black armbands etc. However if we don't and it is postponed I will understand and won't be throwing my toys out of the pram or kicking off about it being a disgrace.
I agree but either way they need to inform people. It's all a bit in limbo at the moment.

Either way the PL will get hammered, there’s people sat behind their keyboards right now waiting for a decision to be made so they can decide on their grievance, don’t envy the decision makers one bit, actually when you think about it theres no decision to make, this country has always been about getting up & carrying on, stiff upper lips etc, maybe this should be reiterated by our King, strong leadership & guidance and a good start to his reign

@Inter Me Nan ?

I’m amazed protocols are not in place for things like this. I understand no communication about it yesterday but surely the prem league should of announced something by now & actually show they know what’s happening.

We should not be waiting for the gov or royal family to speak, surely this should have been planned for years ago just like what happens after major incidents not just the queens death.

Im happy with cancelling or games go ahead but just communicate

It sounds like both the govt and palace have made clear that sporting events can go ahead - and are briefing that they don't want lots of cancellations. I guess, reading the mood, they are worried about being blamed when huge amounts of people would rather just get on with their lives.

PL supposed to be meeting as we speak, apparently postponed till they had guidance, so if they've got explicit permission to go ahead, I'd be surprised if they cancelled.

It's not like a few columnists in the Daily Mail or on GBNews complaining would have any effect on the future of football.
