But those people that don’t see it as a normal weekend will still be able to do the things that don’t make it a normal weekend with or without football being played. That’s the point. It’s a normal weekend for more people than it’s an abnormal one. Literally most people in the country will be doing what they normally do, because life has to go on. Oh… except anyone that likes to watch football. They won’t be doing what they normally do.There’s no link at all between the two decisions - I agree that the Eriksen game should have been abandoned, but that has no bearing on the PL’s decision.
Personally I think that postponing the games is the right call and the correct way to honour the Queen’s passing. She’s done countless things for us, and improved our country’s standing in the world no end, so we shouldn’t just pretend that it’s a normal weekend, because it isn’t.
