Very proud of City and the fans tonight. Can you imagine a more crushing way to lose a game, than celebrate a win and then have it chalked off? And yet we took it. Well done everyone. I love football, much as I hate VAR.

City players have to show tremendous courage now. Football is not just about physical effort, it's also played out in the head. We need to come together now, and see City through this.

The quadruple was almost impossible, and the CL was the hardest part. Now this can work in our favour in the league, but only if we can immediately overcome the mental shock of defeat incurred in that manner.

I want the dippers to win their remaining games. Finish on 97 points and come in runners up after losing only one game all season.
It will demonstrate to their cult followers they are cursed in the premier league.
European royalty they may be, but when Blackburn and Leicester win the premier league over one of the four clubs the league was formed for in the first place you just know you're fucked.

Yes you are probably right. This is a red flag moment now though in the league. Probably make or break.

It could work in our favour as the CL was so difficult anyway. We couldn't give our all in the 1st leg, and it would have been the same in the CL Semis. There's no point beating ourselves up, we just have to make sure that City can bounce back immediately. It's out of the fans hands other than to try and recreate the same support as much as possible.

This could set us up nicely for the rest of the season.

Domestic treble this
Eggs in Champions league basket next!

They looked wrecked to me plus they’ve a lot of injuries. If pep can pick the players up it’ll be a handy win

Of course, let’s hope the players are fuming for the next week and put in two dominant performances. Win the next 2 and I think we’ll win the league.

Dropping points on Saturday is unthinkable at this moment.
 
This game is very scary, they will be a very positive mood while we will be hopefully ready to bounce back. But they still need every point for top4. They got a taste for a great CL run surely they dont want to go to Europa League by finishing 5-6th.

Both squads very tired imo as this was a high intensity game and the league come instead of Sunday afternoon will come as a 1230 game on Saturday.

We do have a bit more chance to rotate which we have to do no question about that. Danilo 100% will start, Otamendi too imo. Have no idea what is with Stones, similar treatment like Sane?

Fernandinho will start too, David Silva should sit this one out but Pep doesnt care about his form. Doubt Mahrez and Jesus cant start this one but who knows they are more fresh than the rest.

Mentality will be what decides it, we have to turn the CL exit into an extra power to push us into winning the PL. 5 wins needed any less imo its Klopp who will celebrate.

They will be absolutely buzzing and the league is still important to them.

If we are mentally right we should win. There's no fear of an away goal here.
 
They won't be able to match us toe to toe and Potchettino has too many injuries to beat us tactically.
This is where our strength in depth will really count.
We were spreading ourselves too thin chasing the quadruple.

Sane has to start. I think I would play Mahrez as well with Sterling on the bench to come on as a sub if required.

We need to use our squad now, and whichever City team takes to the field will get total support. You may have your favourites players which I get but this is the moment when the fans should play the part. The reality is that it's not a Cup tie, and people will probably just nervously watch as usual.

Of course it is, but defeats can rock a side. They tend to come in bunches. This is a key moment now in the league season. It's going to be very very difficult. We have to win every game. We can do it. Pep has to also think about his resources for potentially the most difficult of the away games - the Derby.

If we win the next two games, I feel we will win the Treble. Of course there will be more to it than that but this coming week looks like the highest of the hurdles we face.

Oh fuckin ell. Give it a rest! We want Liverpool to drop as many points as possible starting with against Cardiff. This whole idea that if we come out roaring we'll come out on top should have been put firmly to rest tonight. I heard all this after the Spurs away game. "We dont need an away goal we'll smash spurs for five at our place." Bollocks to Liverpool. Anyone supporting City should be hoping Liverpool don't pick up a single point between now and the rest of the season.

I get the sense we're not a team whose confidence is easily rocked. And even if it were, we did actually win tonight and we outplayed Spurs across the two legs. Spurs will hopefully be a spent force and United have cause for their own confidence to be through the floor.
 
The irony now is Liverpool hVe just as many games as we do and more distractions

Exactly. Only a masochist wants Liverpool to win all their games. Fucking stupid attitude. I’d love them to lose every game.
