Dinho hasn't played a game for us in months, not sure he can just step in,sergio is ready to play

I think it's too early to play Dinho. He might not be 100% fit to play this game. However, the press from Spurs might disrupt Rodri but I think we don't have any other good choice as Gundo cannot provide the same defensive presence. Benching Mahrez (as some are suggesting) while trying to regain his older form would be a huge mistake. He has good stats vs Spurs. I also think Jesus should be retained to start. I trust Pep on these anyhow.

I came on this thread to say exactly the same as the 2 above.

As for which Silva, so many pros and cons I can't decide. We'll probably be arguing about it all week on here till the team is announced. And then find out it's Foden!

Lastly, as much as I like Jesus, the biggest thing he's got to learn is staying onside. Until he does he shouldn't lead the line when Aguero is available.

This'll be a tough enough game but I've put us down for a win; and that's belief not optimism.

Mahrez must start,he was brilliant at West Ham,such a fantastic goal threat in my opinion as well, think people need to let him off that missed pen at Anfield now and get behind the lad

I’d still keep Aguero on the bench. Shoot me, but I think Jesus has earned staying in the team. Not just his goal, but his willingness to always fight for the ball, he was really sharp in all areas. And Mahrez should be a no-brainer to start.

The main call (at least in my mind) is does Bernardo come into the team? If yes, it should be for Silva in my opinion. But I wouldn’t be surprised if Bernie stays on the bench too.
Love Merlin, but I would bring back Bernardo for Saturday. Bernardo is like a duracell battery and never stops and has more energy than David allied to his great technical ability

Will be a tough game this, after both teams made winning starts to the season. Under Guardiola, we’ve won two and drawn one of our three home games against Spurs. Think we’ll see pretty much the same team as yesterday, but Bernardo could well come back in. Be harsh to drop Mahrez after though.
He might rest David in favor of Bernardo.

Mahrez is a different animal this year.

One would hope so, but 90 minutes against an indifferent West Ham doesn’t make a leopard a cheetah. ;-)

For what it’s worth, I’d play him simply because he’s due a really big performance against one of the top sides at the Etihad, but as I said before, Guardiola has utilised him differently against Spurs in the past.
