Easy for Mourinho this game defend well win the ball get it to Kane or wide to Son where they either one on one or dive for a free kick.

Their defence was atrocious last night. If we control the game and limit their counters we'll break them down eventually.

Can't see them keeping us out.

Having said that, Spurs have a different level of lucky when it comes to City.

Some of their key players should be tired for our match. Son getting no rest at all, Kane just back from injury and will play 3 games in a week. Their midfield of Ndombele and Hojbjerg have a lot of minutes in them.

Livarpool -Thursday-Ndombele, Son, Hojbjerg, Davies, all 90 min,
Kane 45 min and injured

Brighton-Sunday - Davies, Hojbjerg, Son 90 min
Ndombele 74 min

Chelsea Thursday- Davies, Hojbjerg, Son 90 min
Ndombele 69 min

West Brom- Sunday- Davies, Hojbjerg, Ndombele, Son, Kane 90 min

Everton- Wednesday- Davies, Hojbjerg, Son 120 min
Ndombele 90 min
Kane-70 min

Why are you selecting Laporte over Zinchenko?

When will people appreciate that Zin offers this team exactly what Pep needs from it?

His linking into midfield is vital. We don't need an orthodox left back, same as Cancelo is not a right back.

Apart from that, the team is spot on.

I would like to again see Foden go wide right, Sterling on the left and Jesus down the middle.

I can’t understand it either. Laporte is 3. choice DC. Deal with it.

Our best football and most success has come with unorthodox left backs in Delph and Zin.

Both can't really defend for toffee, but the titles and records came as a result of that join up in midfield.

Name the last right winger who tore us a new one?

We don't look half the team with Mendy or Walker on each side, simply because they are simply not good enough on the ball and lack the in-game intelligence.

Horses for courses, obviously, but our best balance and synchronicity comes from players who are comfortable on the ball and can interchange.

That's why we must try to accept the flaws of players such as Zin, Delph and Cancelo.

They will have you wanting to kick fuck out of the TV at times, but they make Pep's team greater than the sum of its parts.

Do you think pep was experimenting with Mendy last night? He seemed to be higher and more central than usual.

I hope not and didn't think it was much different?

Head down, run into the corner, hope for the best and a good connection into the box.

Not good enough for this current team, perhaps never was best suited, even legislating for his bad injury.

Perhaps it was the Belgian blonde I was drinking but I'm sure I seen him in the box centrally a few times.

Obviously his injury had a massive impact on him but I think what is exposing his ability is his one dimensional play. Similar to Walker.
The role under pep has evolved and they can't adapt.
Zinchenko and Cancelo both brilliant in this role.

Feel a bit for Mendy because I think he could return to his best in a more traditional role at a different club.
Surely the club knew of his strengths and weaknesses before they signed him.

Mendy should be nowhere near any starting line up unless its our only option or its a so called 'easy' game like last night. Spurs has to be Zin at left back and Cancelo at right back, laporte and walker on the bench.

We owe Spurs big time and its about time we gave them a hiding as we cant keep having 30/40 chances a game against them and scoring none. They are borderline turning on jose at the moment and a good win will really put the boot in.

Spurs are always a bit of bogey team for us. We usually do quite well at home, but Jose relishes games like this.

I think this will be the game that ends our streak.
