Ederson
Walker, Stones, Dias, Ake
Rodri, Bernardo
Foden, Grealish, Doku
Haaland

Let's give it a go.
Not a bad team that. Dias perhaps doesn't deserve a start but he tends to look a lot better with Stones.

I like Rodri and Bernardo in CM, always feels like Bernardo is a bit wasted wide right. As for the 3 in front of them, I'd like to see us try Doku on the right (presumably if he can go both ways on the left, he'd be able to also do so on the right and I think Foden is more effective central) and Grealish left as he links well with Bernardo. Might be interesting to see how they'd do in your line-up, though perhaps the right game for that.

Kick off time 16:30 (GMT). Live on Sky Sports for those in the UK.

Spurs in bad form, we've seen this story before. I await them scoring the 1st goal before we start playing.

Need to win this one. We have Villa (A) on the Wednesday, so better if we can get it won early.

---------------Ederson
Walker---Akanji---Dias---Ake
-----------------Rodri
-------Bernardo-----Foden
Doku-------Haaland---Grealish

That would be my guess but a couple of them need to be miles better than they were against Leipzig.

It'll be Grealish or Alvarez benched. Easier to bench Grealish but he tends to do alright in big games and we can have Alvarez to change it from the bench. That's why I've guessed that.

Been dreading this game for weeks.

I hope we don't F up

always feels like Bernardo is a bit wasted wide right.

especially in games like Bayern and Real on the way to the CL trophy :)

Seriously, Bernardo can be outstanding in many positions, he is not a bit wasted anywhere if, for Pep, he is the best available option there

He plays well pretty much everywhere but I do think he's better centrally as he gives Rodri a bit more help in the middle and seems to link well with Grealish from that position. I also feel that Doku could be equally effective on the right as he can go both ways.

Spurs are shite defensively, we will create so many chances against them, even if we concede I see us scoring 3 minimum.
We need to take advantage of their high line, Foden has to play centrally Bernardo and Alvarez rarely play through balls to Haaland. Doku has to start on the LW.
Only Pep knows whats up with Stones? If he can play 45mins start him.

If Spurs decide to play a high line against us then Pep needs to show them videos of our first goal last night and say "do that". Too often I think our players don't get their head up to put Haaland in behind when he makes runs, maybe because we player the possession game more.

Many of Haalands goals for Dortmund were like that. You can't usually get away with a high line against him if his teammates are putting good balls in behind.

Hopefully Spurs do! Postecoglou is a bit mad and had their defence on the halfway line when they only had 8 outfield players on v Chelsea. If he does, we need to use it to our advantage.

Dias would be very lucky to start, but I’d probably back him to get back to form playing with Stones in this system.

Akanji or Walker could go either way, but I’d err towards Walker just because of his recovery pace.

Grealish also lucky, but I think we might need the control he and Bernardo give us. Not sure the balance is right if we go with Doku, Foden and Alvarez as 3 of the 4 behind Haaland. And useful to have a good attacking option from the bench.

Must win game this. Can’t let the likes of these, scousers or arses get any hope of a title challenge. We need to reassert our dominance on this league and destroying one of the media’s favourite teams is a great way to start. Need to be wary of var and shit decisions though as they’ll be under orders to fuck us over at any opportunity.
