Just re-watching the full game now (65 mins gone we're 3-2 up, no spoilers). I didn't realize how well we played in the first half, although without much goal threat. You're right about Lewis and Grealish. If the game had ended at half time Lewis would probably have been MotM.
In my defense I did have a few celebratory beers last night. Note to self - don't post when pissed

Put it this way. That five minutes of utter madness from Ed — I have him basically responsible for their second as well, although it's not as obvious — didn't reflect the half, at all. We were controlling it, without playing close to our best, and I think there was a definite feeling that we were going to go up two gears after the break, and run out say 2-0 winners. I think that's what everybody was so very frustrated about, and what led to the booing, maybe. It was like the rags all over again, when we basically were better, and should have seen out the game for a 1-0 win. That would have been merely justice.
But here we are: Arsenal are good, and they're playing at their maximum, I believe, or close to it. Apart from a very bright August, when we seemed to be promising a lot, we haven't been near what we can be as a team all season long. But we are somehow second. I think five points behind, with them having a game in hand, is quite a lot to make up, but it can certainly be done, if we come into the form we know we're capable of. It depends on us playing at our best, and them dropping a level. No sign of it as yet. We'll see…

100% improvement in commitment & desire by the boys, looks like they wanted to wear the blue shirt again. Much quicker in the passing in the 2nd half.
Motm to Mahrez, never seen him play with that much passion before. Special mention to Rico, Jack, Ake & Rodri who I thought were also excellent

How has Grealish only got 2% of the vote. It is scandalous he was great last night, the tracking back and tackling should have got him MOM on its own.

I'm going to have to let it go at some point but we did do enough to win the Derby until Atwell pulled that stupid stunt.
I think we've suffered because of our defensive injuries since Walker got injured in Madrid last season. We barely got over the line to win last seasons Premier League after Diaz and Stones got injured and Laporte played on through injury. Diaz hasn't recovered yet. Laporte looks spent. I love Johnny Stones but he can't seem to play more than two games on the bounce.
Although the stand in players are not of the same calibre they've done well individually. As a unit not so much.
Pep is in uncharted waters and is struggling to find solutions. We can't control games like he wants to. Spurs proved last night that if you stay calm under our pressing you can get out. And once that happens we are struggling. Ederson is the ideal keeper for the way we play but he's not a good enough keeper in a conventional way behind this defence.
For me we will only win the PL or CL if we get our key defenders back fit and in form.

Eddie and others need to stop fucking about right near half time. Just keep it safe, there's no need to take risks just see the half out, instead we ended up two goals down.
