Spurs-The bitterness is reaching dipperlike proportions

King unfortunately is on his death bed. He is an absolute rock though, but you'll probably see him once every 7-8 games these days. Whenever he plays you can almost guarantee a clean sheet. He's a stubborn bastard though, he wants to play but at what expense? He'll end up in a wheelchair one day!

As for Woodgate he is also pretty solid but 50k a week and always injured his time is probably up. I think he's looking for a club that won't do pay as you play. Money talks and Dawson is better.

I think Gallas has come in and done a very good job, but at the end of the day people take notice of the results. It's really the strikeforce that let the club down, and a few howlers from Gomes

It's make or break really in the summer, Levy has to decide if he wants the top 4 or not. If he don't he might as well sell Bale, Modric, VDV etc.

The only realistic chance of getting top 4 is Arsenal having a dreadful season. Liverpool and Spurs are the only realistic ones of challenging for the fourth spot off Arsenal

To be honest mate I think Arsenal may have just saved your season. I genuinely think with a few tweaks to your squad you couldn't pick who would come 4th. Arsenal are potentially on the verge of loosing some key players, and whilst if we had finished 4th and carried on strengthening you may as well have sodded it off, Arsenals current and potential demise might just be the target Levy needs to sway him to another cash injected CL place push. They're likely much easier targets for 4th than we will be next season. I'm not saying that in an arrogant way, just the way a lot of transfer activity is likely to play out this summer. Can you honestly see Arsenal getting stronger loosing Cesc and Nasri? We certainly aren't going to be getting weaker that's for damn sure.

Levy may see ousting Arsenal as a very realistic possibility now. Which may have gone from resigning himself to Europa League and players/a budget to match, cashing in on Modric, Bale and VDV whilst their stock is high.. to persuading them to stay for another proper push for 4th spot again next year at Wengers expense. You never know!

Either way I think you could benefit from getting in a manager who at least pretends to be tactical. 'Arrys input when a game plan isn't working just looks embarrassing tbh :S I always get the feeling he has no idea what he's doing and has just semi-successfully winged it for his entire career!

True.

We unfairly target Spuds because they're our rivals for a CL spot.

That'll all change next season as you'll be challenging for the title.

With Spurs they'll be fighting fifth out with Liverpool, and maybe fingers crossed challenging Arsenal for fourth, but I don't think that will happen

The only worry is if Levy wants to make profit and sell the likes of Bale and Modric, or try get into the top 4 again

Spurs needed to spend last season, City were always going to bring more quality players in.

I don't think Bale will go, not so sure about Modric though. Hopefully Arsenal will make the mistakes of the last 6 years and not spend big.

if spurs are serious about a crack at the top 4 again they have to keep bale, modric and most important arry.

You'll always find amusing posts no matter what board. There has been plenty here already and deluded fans everywhere. I could go around every board and paste some crackers.

Most Spurs fans before they reached the top 4 wanted City to do well and help stop the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea's dominance in the top 4.

City will take it to another level next season so good luck to you

I think it's pretty refreshing that Spurs cracked the top 4 and City have now. The big 4 needed shaking up a bit.

The fact that Chelsea had to spend 75m in the January transfer window because of Spurs and City shows that they're worried.

You don't half talk some crap!

You need to read the history of the two clubs! And a certain FA cup final!

So what do you think the script with Harry is Crouchinho? Will he still be at the lane next season or will he jump ship over to Chelsea?

I think he'll stay, but if they are after him then I think he'd jump ship. Harry isn't exactly Mr Loyal, he'll do what he wants really. He always says one thing and does another

Most people supposedly "In The Know" with Tottenham reckon Levy wants Klinsmann for when Redknapp leaves. Whether or not Redknapp leaves him a worthwhile squad is another thing, fingers crossed here!

Klinsmann?

West Ham v Spurs in the Championship in a year's time then.

Klinsmann is acting as a consultant to Toronto F.C
(Or at least he was). Can't see him leaving the States anytme soon.

I'm not sure if Nasri and Fabregas will leave. I don't know if Barca would cough up the 40-50m that Arsenal want for him. I just don't think he's worth that much for some reason. I'm not sure about Nasri either, I hope they both go that would be brilliant. If they're up for sale then City should try and move for them as well

As for Harry he's a great motivator, quite a few players have come out and said he's not big on tactics. It can work well, where it's all care free and spraying the ball about, but when there is unhappy campers (Defoe, Pav, Kranc, Lennon) he doesn't really have a plan B, that's when the tactics come in. I'm still gutted we lost Adel Taarabt and possibly getting rid of Dos Santos as well. Harry has done a superb job don't get me wrong but he is replaceable. I personally am not fond of his transfer targets, he has previously bid for Kenwyne Jones, interested in Carlton Cole, Upson etc. Levy managed to get VDV and Sandro and Commoli got the likes of Modric, Bale etc

Levy has turned the club around fantastically. 20 years of mid table mediocirty and now we're run well and have a great squad, but it's almost like two steps forward and one step back. Either there is a revolving door of managers or we sell our best players to United these days. I guess that's the joy of football it's the hope what kills you!!

@ JoeMercer'sWay - Why are you not fond of Klinsmann? Just out of curioisty

because I think having home advantage helped his Germany side in the 2006 World Cup, more than it being down to him, as results before then were hardly stellar, and he struggled in his short spell at Bayern too.

Great player in his day no doubt.
