Not going to be that lucky for the rest of the season. More clinical sides will punish them.

Spurs mate of mine just text me saying Hiw the f did they win that game... then called sterling out for being dirty and should have seen red... kindly reminded him of Ali and Kane’s assassinations at the Eithad last season , he shut up pretty quick....

I despise them , Harry Winks is also a diving sly little prick , but it’s ok he’s English ...

fuck off Spurs ,,, Kane , Ali , Winks .... fuck right off

Meh Spurs aren’t bad, they’re just another club to me.

Eh?

What did Winks do wrong? Have you watched the footage? Rodri tried to pull Winks back as he broke from your corner but he failed. And Winks stayed on his feet. Then Zinchenko ran directly at Winks - not remotely interested in the ball - and barged him over to stop the break. Winks didn’t writhe around on the floor feigning injury. So I’m not sure what you’re complaint is. It was as clear a yellow card as you’re ever likely to see. The only person you should be complaining about is Zinchenko for stupidly getting his first booking after running sixty yards to get involved in an incident which had nothing to do with him.

As to the Kane and Alli tackles a while back, hands up......they should have seen red. And you fellas remind us of that at every opportunity! So is it really so unfair for one of your Spurs mates to say this once that he thinks that Sterling should have seen red today? I’m pretty sure that, if Kane or Alli had done to a City player what Sterling did to Alli today, you’d be accusing them of another “assassination”!

Wasn’t a great challenge from sterling I expected a red after VAR looked at it,as we normally get fucked over wonder would we have had same outcome if it was Rodri,Otamendi or Fernandinho who made the challenge think I know the answer to that ...

Wondered when you’d appear

I don't put much blame on Zinchenko, I thought he played well before the 2nd yellow.

The problem is our left side's attacking makes no sense, Sterling doesn't stay wide left and Zinchenko plays inverted best. When Pep asks him to be the wideman he doesn't have the pace and trickery for it, he is best used to control the midfield. Playing him, Gundogan and Rodri is extremely redundant, thats too many people who play the same way. It's not enough attacking power to have 4 main attackers, and 6 "defenders/controllers" (for whom I put Gundogan in, he is not a natural attacker).

Finishing was obviously the biggest problem but the personnel still doesn't make much sense to me, I think we are always better when we play with 5 ACTUAL attackers and 5 defenders/controllers.

I think we would have been much better if Foden played over Sterling wide left, not as fast but left footed and fast enough for the wide left role.

And putting Bernardo in Gundogan's role for a more natural attacker, since Zinchenko will played inverted and slot next to Rodri anyways.

This gives us our effective 3-2-4-1 shape in attack that we are so good at doing, but not putting square pegs in round holes.

I can’t disagree with you on any of the points you make, Jim.

Being booked for getting involved in a on-field fight is beyond stupid, and there was no need for Zinchenko to stop Winks, as there was plenty of cover behind him.

Also, when I saw the replay, I expected Sterling to receive a red.

In a parallel universe, you could have won the game today by 5 goals or more. Very wasteful. Does it make sense if I say that Spurs were very lucky to get anything out of the game, let alone a win, but that City weren’t unlucky? That’s what it feels like to me. You were so much better than us for most of the game but were your own worst enemies.

The good thing as far as you guys are concerned is that the result of today’s game doesn’t really matter. You ought to finish second but will certainly finish no lower than third. And if there’s any consolation in throwing away today’s points, it’s that it does at least theoretically make Man Utd’s attempt to qualify for the CL that little harder.

Possibly one of the worst away ends in the league, who thought marching you through a sainsbury car park to get in was a good idea, 2 liile rows of steps to get in, a bar directly facing the entrance, massive block numbers hidden from view, urinals instead of troughs, no separate entry and exit to the bogs.
Best ground in the world my arse what a fuckin mess

It is odd isn't it?

Spurs, on the whole, don't fold for City. They battle. They are resolute. When it comes to Liverpool and United, and to certain extent Chelsea, they roll over. Why is that?

Because they are like every other team in the League?

I dunno.....we’ve rolled over for City quite a few times over the past 5 years or so. And we’ve also taken plenty of points off Liverpool, Utd and Chelsea - or at least given them some hard games without getting the points that we deserved.

I don’t think you can conclude that there is any recurring theme to our results against other big six teams other than they should probably have been better across the board.

More to do with the mentality of spurs players no pressure when you don’t expect to win plus fans think the same so don’t give the players any stick! If that was against say a Sheffield United and they were dominating the fans would be given the team so much stick which then translates to the players! Anyway as long as rags don’t get top four not arsed who gets it.

It's not odd at all mate.
Not sure if your a Siouxsie and Banshees fan at all but "Israel " and "Arabian Knights" is a double musical clue for you Sir. ; )
Then think back to all the outrageous ref/var/offside/handball decisions in games between the two sides since our owners took over....
Last time i was at the Lane prior to the weekend we lost 4-1 and 3 spurs goals were offside!
No complaints over Sunday's result tho.they did very well to stay in the game and even better taking their chances when they arose.
Well played Spurs.
