Worth remembering that Daniel Levy hired Jose Mourinho not because it was in keeping with Spurs long term strategy, or because he was the right man to succeed and build on Pochettino, but because he'd always dreamed of having him at the club since he saw him at Chelsea in 2004.

There's a very real possibility they have undone 8 years of progress with one appointment.

Made little sense to me either, seemed more of an “ego appointment” rather than a footballing one at the time and still does.

I don't agree with that, it doesn't matter how much your earning - if someone is absusing f you in your workplace, you'll snap back. Good on Dier, don't take no shit from nobody.

just read that Amazon are following Spurs for the 19/20 season, like they did for us in their ‘All or Nothing’ series.

The series subtitle looks like it might need changing:

Not long enough! Only seen the headline so don't know whether Dire Dier laid hands on the guy. It will be interesting to see whether the FA Rule re exiting the pitch via the spectator area carries a weightier premium than the Bernardo fiasco! Dire Dier might have a charmed existence re the FA - he can't get into the England team on footballing talent alone.

Anyone working with the public has to deal with abuse on a regular basis, particularly in customer services. Go chasing a customer around a shop, restaurant or bar showing aggression like that and you'll be down the job centre more likely than not.

Just shows how mentally strong Sterling is. Had years of abuse at grounds, in the papers and online. Dealt with it incredibly and in a mature way while banging in the goals. That’s how you deal with it.

Seeing as it's a Spurs player, the FA are going to ban the Spurs fan from all football stadia for life, throw Norwich out of the cup, reinstate Spurs and issue a public apology to Dier.
