isn't (wasn’t) Phil Collins a big Spurs fan? Sure I read that

He was interviewed in a Spurs hat at either the 1991 FA Cup semi final or final (can't remember which). But I'm pretty sure he was seen wearing a Chelsea hat at a subsequent big game. So more of a glory supporter, I think. Not a proper fan.

Are you saying Phil Collins was showing his True Colours?

I'll get me coat

Oops....sorry, I didn't mean to give the impression that it was going to be finished imminently! I hope to have it written by end of play today or early afternoon tomorrow.
If you didn’t post shit on here it would be finished by now! ;)

Anyone that is furloughed gets the money from the government. They in turn get it from us the taxpayer. In these times of all pulling together I thought I would cut out the middle man and drive down to White Hart(less) lane and give them £20 but Mrs Mist says they have now looked in a cupboard and found some spare change so they no longer need my money.

Before I set off can anyone confirm this ?

£20 May buy a couple of match balls but every little helps. I heard that Levy found some cash down the back seats whilst cleaning out his Rolls

I wouldn't your breath, wums the pair of them

The only thing that I am guilty of is expressing opinions with which you disagree. That is not the definition of a WUM.

Nothing that I post is gratuitous. It is only ever in response to posts from others on here. I never slag off City. I don't brag about Spurs (even on the rare occasions that I do have something to brag about!). I do defend my club when I believe that it is warranted or when, at the very least, there is a second side to the story that is worthy of consideration. But I am always calm and polite when doing so. Again, that is not the definition of a WUM. Quite the opposite, in fact.

What's really happening, I think, is that you cannot help but be wound up by anything relating to Spurs, regardless of whether anything has been written that is even remotely controversial. Your hatred of Spurs is so deep - and the wound so open - that you appear to be triggered by mere mention of the club.

I have been saying this for a while now Kaz.
Our mods are far too soft on these visiting fans from other teams.
If they went on RAWK or Red Cafe they would be banned because of the shit some of them post. They seem to forget that this is a Manchester City forum.
That JimB has admitted that this is the only non Spurs forum he posts on.
He doesn't post anywhere else cos nobody else will put up with all the shite he posts.

I refer you to my comments to Karen above. If my posts really contributed as little of worth to the conversation and were as deliberately provocative as you claim them to be, I have little doubt that the mods would have banned me long ago. But I have been posting here, on and off, for some ten years now without so much as even a warning. And I think it is because the mods, at least, can see that I am not what you and Karen claim me to be.

and that's my point, every little helps. If we all donated £20 (I will take it down if you want to send it to me) it will go a long way to helping them out. Your post also highlights just how serious a financial situation they are in. in normal times Levy would have had a Romanian cleaning his Rolls out not doing it himself.

Post after post defending Levy when he put the non playing staff on furlough and then when he does a U turn (mainly due to public outrage and pressure) and not a peep out of you admitting he was wrong to do it in the first place. In fact you went absent for a few days until things quietened down.
And then you add insult to injury by claiming that Chas & Dave were "not a bad act really". Only a fucking deluded Spurs fan could come out with shite like that.

Sorry that I can't be an On Demand poster, here at your beck and call whenever you want my input. I post here when I have time to do so. I haven't been hiding. As I have already said, I am in the process of writing an article about the furlough decision for a Spurs website. Rather than reply piecemeal on the subject in this thread, I will post it here when I am done - for those who care to read it.

As to Chas and Dave, I hope that you didn't take my post too seriously. I didn't think that it really needed a winky smiley thing at the end. Because, while I do believe that they are / were musicians' musicians and are much underrated by the wider public, I don't expect everyone to appreciate their music any more than I would expect everyone to appreciate rap or heavy metal or any other genre you care to mention.

@JimB I try to read all the posts but it seems I missed some. before I slag you off to then find out I am wrong, please clarify;

Did you really say Chas n Dave were not a bad act ?

Because if you did and I may be All By Myself, Without You but Every Day Hurts.
