I've no issue with it but I bet they don't get the same criticism we get for spending.

They can use it to their advantage by paying more upfront to secure a signing cheaper or as a better proposal than another club who may want to sign the same player but want the cost spread over 5 years.
They could pay off debts which were incurring interest.
They could use it for thing which don't come under ffp like stadium improvements.
We have done it numerous times under Sheikh Mansour, he has always turned the loans into equity. Ambramovic did it at Chelsea but left them as loans.

Levy making promises to a manager again and likely to not deliver again. Maybe he will change and sign a player before the season starts rather than look to save on wages during the post-season.
Not saying it is highly likely but I honestly would not be surprised if Conte left at some point before September. He is a good manager who deserves to be at a bigger club.
Makes sense to invest as they are in 'win now' mode for two or three years while Kane can still play at the top level.

Surely not the wisest transfer strategy? Publicly stating you’ve got a lot of money to spend.
