Conti is another Mourinho/Tuchel be ridged parked bus tactics if it ain’t going swimmingly after a season and half Conti not getting what he wants he will cause havoc.

That's on track for 32 points a season. With Kane, and Son, and Moura, and Really solid players like Hojbjerg and Lloris and half a dozen 50m+ signings.

I can't see any reason why Nuno would instantly roll back the clock 18 months with a terrible Newcastle squad.

His cloth is cut accordingly for him at Newcastle.

He has inferior players and doesn't have the expectation there is at Spurs to actually finish top four and win something for the first time in 5000 days (tomorrow).

The players at Newcastle are already in a relegation scrap and having someone like Nuno available on the market right now is a good option for them due to his familiarity with the league and their players.

Spurs were never going to finish on 32 points, irrespective of who is in charge this season, coupled with the Kane saga, he was sold a pup and is paying the price for Spurs offering the job to ten people before Nuno.

He's an above average manager and that's the best Newcastle can opt for in their current predicament.

With each passing week Newcastle lose a game, more managers will distance themselves from it right now.

It's something Mourinho used to also do all the time.

He did it with the England job.

United have a big week and are dithering on Solskjaer.

If Spurs are still talking with Conte in the next 24 hours, it would not surprise me if he is trying to force a hand somewhere else.

What's he going to do in 18 months at somewhere like Spurs, even if Kane is suddenly back onside or they sell him in January.
